CHILTECO — Restaurant in Žilina

As a native of San Diego, California, my standards for Mexican cuisine are exceptionally high, especially considering my love for Baja Mex. However, my experience with Slovak interpretations of guacamole has left me disappointed. Across the country, and even throughout Europe, I've found that the guacamole just doesn't measure up to what I'm used to. Literally just use ripe avocados, cilantro, red onion, lime and salt and pepper. Sounds easy, but for some reason impossible in this area of the world. Unfortunately, Chilteco falls victim to this trend as well. While I enjoyed their tacos, which I'd rate an 8 out of 10, adding the ketchup/vinegar tasting guacamole detracted from the overall flavor for me.

Giving the restaurant another chance, I ventured away from Mexican cuisine and was pleasantly surprised by their chicken burger, which boasted perfectly balanced flavors. I'm eager to return and explore more of their menu offerings. However, I must reiterate: for an authentic guacamole experience, a trip to Mexico or...

Extrémne drzá obsluha. Žiadna ochota pomôcť.

Z reštaurácie som si objednal jedlo cez bolt food (predom som zaplatil). Prišlo mi úplne iné jedlo ako som si objednal. Objednávku som ovšem neprevzal a volal im na prevádzku, že mi prišlo iné jedlo. Kuriér jedlo vzal späť do reštaurácie odkiaľ mi potom volali. Zamestnanec chilteca bol očividne extrémne nervózny a nepríjemný a odmpietli mi spraviť správnu objednávku, nakoľko ide vraj o chybu Boltu. Pán z chilteca po mne do telefónu začal kričať s tým, že jemu to je jedno a mám si to vyriešiť sám s boltom.

Momentálne som teda ostal bez jedla, i keď som ho zaplatil.

Pre informáciu, z chilteca si objednávam od roku 2018 (cez bistro aj Bolt). Som ich stály zákazník, no po tejto skúsenosti s extrémne drzou obsluhou si už v živote z tejto reštaurácie neobjednám a neodporúčam to ani Vám. Pán za telefónom by sa mal naučiť správať, zvládať svoje emócie a naučiť sa baviť s ľuďmi.
