Mixed feelings. The service should serve as an example for the whole Slovakia - greetings with smile, recommendation of food and generally pleasant experience. Soup was really great, but main course seemed to be below average and made from cheap ingredients (especially minced meat). But why 3 stars? Because we got moldy bread with our soup and prices are too high for this region, even in the capital it would be considered to be expensive. The restaurant was officially closed. Due to the pandemic 😢 the town was empty, locals eating home, the owner/cook/waiter (all in one person) was there with a friend. We stopped by, thirsty and hungry. We were told, that the restaurant is closed but we can get tomato soup and some Balkan meat from the grill. Terchová has got some (Balkan) Flare! This was a rather lovely surprise. Good food. A refreshing change from the traditional, heavier Slovak fare. We appreciated the willingness and flexibility of the chef to make adjustments to cater to our dietary restrictions. Excellent customer service.
