Extremely underwhelming in terms of baked sweet goods.
I live near and walk by often, thinking I should try them. Pretty much no cakes and a few sweet pastries (aside of breads that lookef fine) were available. I bought a 1,80€ croissant that was inferior the taste of a defrosted store bought butter croissant. It was cool and not very fresh, but neither was it old and dry.
Semi fluffy nice texture without a deeper flavour, quite bland and disappointing.
The waitress (maybe was learning but she) seemed pushy/impatient/looming despite there being very few customers. In hindsight, I should've just left without purchasing anything.
You can't pay by card under a certain sum (I think 3€) so that also was a bit surprising. From a potential takeout coffee place I'd expect more speed and less limitations. I frequently go cashless.
Looks nice and roomy from outside and might be pleasant to sit in for a chat. Depends...
Read moreCozy spot with good breakfast options. Went to Bakery Allakaj for breakfast and really enjoyed the vibe—warm, relaxed, and inviting. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. We loved the spiral spinach and cheese roll—fresh and flavorful. The chocolate croissant and cappuccino were also solid. The hot chocolate, however, was a bit underwhelming—tasted like basic Granko we sometimes have at home.
Still, it’s a place we’d happily return to. Definitely worthy of a spot on our weekend...
