EDO-KIN Blumental — Restaurant in Bratislava

Sadly never got to eat here (due to inability to cater to people with food allergies). Had a teambuilding scheduled, my boss confirmed with the restaurant they can provide me some glutenfree and meatless meal. I have checked the menu to make sure the food is glutenfree but there was no info on allergies whatsoever. Many Asian-cousine meals are glutenfree by default so I had hoped I would be able to order something. Upon arrival and asking the VERY UNFRIENDLY staff member if they can make a meatless and glutenfree meal I was told "no we cannot". "We cannot provide anything for you". I tried to ask the waiter if perhaps some meals can be made without soy sauce that is usually the gluten culprit in many asian meals but I was met with rolled eyes and obvious "dont bother me" attitude. Disappointed, I dropped any questions and only had water for the rest of the night. My sister had met with similar experience when having teambuilding on Tyrsak. I like the simple menu with only few well crafted choices and the taste is all right. Beef flank wok is Edokin’s signature dish.

What could help this restaurant is to educate their staff to radiate more welcoming vibe. I come here often and I feel like I was in a conflict with the waiters, like if they were not really glad they can provide service for their customer and get paid for it 🙂 Right now I can remember one commentary of a staff member, that said “you customers are always causing us problems with your bill splitting requests”. It could be said in more humble way to make us feel we are welcome and we return with joy next time 🙂

Easy to make reservations. Very delicious sushi and soups. We took Miso, the shrimp one and a small pho. Baby friendly. The service was very fast. We were surprised with a welcome sushi set.
