Great place - Lived up to the expectation. If you are looking for some authentic Indian food in Bratislava at affordable prices, this is the place to visit.
I came here during my travel towards Vienna. I was expecting either European version of Indian food or the chic over priced version which is so far from Indian, it might be a cuisine of its own. To my surprise, I got food at Punjabi Dhaba that tasted like home and served with the same love.
It's not a fine dining place, it's a small shop and I think they do delivery as well. The prices were reasonable and the portions were large and filling. The staff was really nice and sweet, with quick service. I really liked how Akshay, one of the staff, chatted with those who wanted to talk more about what they were ordering and didn't disturb those who didn't wanted to be disturbed. This balance is hard to master even in big restaurants.
This place gets a 5* on counts of taste, authenticity, value for money, service. The ambience is nice and trendy but wouldn't say a 5*, but they don't market it like a fine diner. Rather they market it like a fastfood place or takeaway place for which the ambience...
Read moreIf you want to have the "real" experience of India don't need to go any further. Order from this place and you will run to the toilet like in India. This was by far the hottest Indian food i tried, given that I lived in the UK for 7 years and have routinely enjoyed Indian cuisine from many of its regions. The stuff was like lava that burnt a hole into my stomach wall and afterwards I knew I will have to suffer again on its way out. I didnt know it will be at 4am in the morning tho. The food was rather greasy and stupidly spicy hot (I usually enjoy hot spicy food but this was over the top). I had the Paneer Madrasi style with Basmati Rice, both of which were dripping with oil. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is that it was actually not terrible but i just knew if I were to give this someone on their death bed, it would finish them 😄 On top of that, they offer deals which they claim to be 50% discount of a meal that is worth 6.50, they say it was 13€ but in reality its actual value is no way near 13, so jts just a trick to fall for...
Read moreThis is definitely not a first date restaurant coz you will get very weird stomach noises (I think everybody experienced it here or at least I don’t know a single person who didn’t and we come here quite often) and some of the food is so spicy that you will sweat like a pig. 😃 But we come here anyway coz the food here is tastiest indian food you can get in Bratislava (like really really really tasty - just making sure you get what I’m saying 😃)!! I swear...if you’ll ignore your surroundings for a while you will have a feast!! It is not the cheapest place but you can easily eat for under 10 EUR per person if you choose wisely. 😊 (UPDADE - Well I guess not anymore, prices are higher now but nothing else changed.)
They have daily menu as well but I have no experience with it.
Och and staff here don’t...
