We’ve been here many times and I initially wanted to leave a positive review, but our experience last Sunday changed my mind. We arrived at 12 p.m., and I wanted to order a Caesar salad. Unfortunately, it was only available on the regular menu, not the breakfast menu that was currently being served. When I asked the waitress for an alternative recommendation from the breakfast menu, she suggested Eggs Benedict on brioche... and then added, “but it doesn’t come with a salad” 🤨🤨🤨. Why do you suggest it to someone specifically asking for a salad?
Anyway, we placed our order. The coffee came right away, but the food we were waiting for a half an hour. By the time it arrived, we had nearly finished our coffee, which had already gone cold. When the food finally came, they brought all three plates at once (the third was pancakes for dessert). My husband’s English breakfast was cold, which was disappointing since we came specifically for a hot meal. Why bring everything out at the same time, so the pancakes get cold while eating a cold English breakfast?
We were given only one napkin for the two of us, which we had to share. 🤨 And on top of that, the sauce dish for the pancakes was messy and covered in sauce, so you couldn’t pick it up without getting your hands dirty.
We didn’t see our waitress again after and had to get up and ask the staff at the exit to bring us the bill. I used to overlook the high prices because we liked the place, but with service like this, I can’t justify it anymore. This was the last time we had...
Read moreWe've been here nearly our entire stay in bratislava for breakfast/brunch. The vibe and the menu were just incredibly nice! I liked the style/interior of the café soo much. Food was very good, can recommend the truffle avocado benedict. Although I figured out the days after that they didn't serve me the fresh truffle (I worked in hospitality and thought they used truffle oil but then saw staff grinding fresh truffle onto someone's plate), so keep an eye on that. unfortunately the time of serving brunch during the week was not that clear instructed, cause everyone has a different time in their head when someone's saying "noon". didn't really figure out how long that would be tho but one day I couldn't have pancakes cause it was already 12pm and the other day I couldn't order french toast right away with my breakfast together and we were advised to order them in an hour, that wouldve been 12pm then - so maybe there needs to be clearer communication throughout the staff and also from staff to guests - it was a bit confusing.
Staff was super friendly all the time, there was no negative vibe or anything else going on. Our favourite was Lucia - she has just such a warm and happy aura and was super friendly!! We'll probably come back...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to have dinner and found this restaurant. They have outdoor seating, but the interior is definitely worth it. It has a funky, laid back vibe and it feels like you are in a club. Neon, flashing lights, couches, loud music, young staff…. We sat a tiny table with two chairs that felt like deck chairs with cushions. It wasn’t the most comfortable and I would have preferred a normal table but it was a tad busy so we didn’t even ask to move. For appetizers I ordered the guacamole and chips (which seemed overpriced for what it was). It came in a cute little saucepan with fresh chopped herbs/tomato but it definitely needed some salt. My friend had the mini quesadilla tacos as a started and they were sooooo good. For the main course I chose the larger version of the chicken quesadilla tacos and was pleasantly surprised. The tortilla was good and the chicken had a nice spice to it. I also tried the cauliflower cheese on the side. It was good, but I felt like the cheese sauce was a bit broken since it was clumpy and oily. Overall it was a great dinner and I’m glad...
