Wok to Walk – A Delightful Culinary Experience in Piran
During our recent visit to Piran, we stumbled upon Wok to Walk, a charming Asian eatery nestled along the picturesque Cankarjevo nabrežje. This family-run establishment, operated by a cheerful couple, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel good and relaxed.
The menu is a delightful fusion of Asian flavors, allowing diners to customize their meals to their liking. Options include a variety of noodles and rice bases, paired with proteins such as chicken, beef, prawns, or tofu, and an array of fresh, vibrant vegetables. Sauce choices range from classic soy and oyster to spicy Szechuan and sweet and sour, catering to a wide range of palates and spice preferences.
I opted for the prawns with rice, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The prawns were succulent and perfectly cooked, complemented by crisp vegetables and a flavorful sauce that tied the dish together beautifully. The freshness of the ingredients and the balance of flavors truly stood out, making it one of the best meals I had during our trip. Each bite was bursting with authentic taste, making it clear that quality ingredients and careful preparation are top priorities here.
Another great aspect of Wok to Walk is the speed and efficiency of the service. Even though every meal is prepared fresh to order, we never felt like we had to wait long. It’s an ideal spot whether you’re looking for a quick, delicious meal on a busy day or a casual sit-down lunch by the sea.
What sets Wok to Walk apart is not just the delicious food but the genuine hospitality of the owners. Their passion for their craft and dedication to providing an excellent dining experience are evident in every aspect of the restaurant.

Read moreUnfortunately, we really regretted visiting this place. We wanted to enjoy some wok, but instead we got an unappetizing pile of food. Even though we were very hungry, after just one bite of the rice I realized it was going straight into the trash. Sadly, we ended up throwing away two portions and wasting €18.
The rice was undercooked, the mix of ingredients was strange, and the food was bland and lacking any real flavor or sauce. It felt like just a pile of rice with a bit of cabbage and a couple of shrimp. Honestly, I could cook something better at home – and I’m not even good at cooking.
On top of that, the owner didn’t mention that noodles cost €2 more than rice, and also didn’t ask whether we wanted a small or large portion. In the end, this place gave us one of the worst food experiences we’ve ever had, and unfortunately, all the food went to the trash. Definitely...
Read moreReally regretted entering this restaurant. It is located near to the bus station, and it looked quite nice from the outside.
However, upon entering the restaurant, there was loud music blaring at top volume. Things went quickly downhill from there.
The food was terrible. Rice that was drowned in some unknown dark sauce, with some vegetables thrown in together with chunks of chicken. Barely edible. There are 2 portion sizes, but if you don’t stipulate which size, the default is the bigger and more expensive option.
The toilet was even more disgusting. I am unable to describe the...
