We ordered a breakfast stack and a nacho with spicy chicken.
My meal which is the breakfast stack was abit disappointing, firstly I got only 2 slices bread with the amount of food that is in the plate, secondly my food was completely cold, the plate was warm but the food was cold which means my food has been standing for it to get cold.
My fiance meal she had the nacho with spicy chicken, firstly the chicken was no spicy even I who does not eat spicy foods ate 1 nacho and it was just bland with no hotness to it. The hot Beverage should be properly named because red cappuccino we expected it to be coffee instead of tea, my fiance was disappointed that she did not want to order anything.
And finally for a breakfast and a starter meal we waited quite long, the amount of time to take for a morning meal and a starter is not what we expected, the time it took we expected a massive meal by the amount of time it took to make the meal then I might as well have had breakfast at home for lunch. The time frame is too long and needs to speed up in the kitchen.
My fiance and I have decided we will not be going back until some improvements can be made and as a food critic I expected much more from a high end...
Read moreThis morning my husband and I visited our second choice, Cafe Rousse, Tygervalley. Kauai was not yet open for business at 8AM. We didn't want to wait till 9AM and had the pleasure of being attended to by Chantal. She was most professional, friendly and charming - yet very respectful. Her passion, attention to detail and great attitude shows how committed she is to client satisfaction. We were quite surprised, this was not lunch or dinner. What a pleasant experience! Especially on a Monday morning just after 8AM. Cafe Rousse, Tygervalley is from now on our number one place to have breakfast. Not to mention the large portions! Haha, have you heard of a breakfast take away on a standard meal? We will soon try out the lunch and dinner menu and compare the service. Cafe Rousse, Tygervalley - you outdone yourself and is by far the best we've ever received in Cape Town. Chantal is very well deserving of an employee award. A great memorable...
Read moreWhat a memorable experience… We popped in for a quick lunch—just three unsuspecting adults looking for a bite. The only thing quick was how rapidly our hopes and dreams were crushed.
The warning signs were all there, really.
The place was so quiet that you could hear our expectations dying.
The menu was an epic saga—so long and chaotic, even Gordon Ramsay would’ve rage-quit halfway through.
The staff? Let’s just say we clearly interrupted an important group meditation session.
Our drinks arrived like a game of “guess whose is whose,” the food came out partially wrong (because surprise builds character, right?), and what did arrive correctly was so dry we seriously considered using lip balm as a dipping sauce.
All in all, 10/10 if you’re into culinary mystery, emotional damage, chewing on sandpaper, and paying ridiculous prices for all of that as well. Will not be back. But thanks for...
