I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the recent clue hunt organized by Willowbridge Mall and Cape Town for Kids. I rushed out of my home at 8:01 AM, right after the first clue was posted, heading to Tessa’s Bakery as instructed. Upon arrival, I found the store locked and had to wait for nearly an hour before they opened. Once inside, I searched for the clue, which was said to be hidden near their pink couches, but found nothing.
After calling both the Centre store management and Tessa’s Bakery management, I waited an additional 45 minutes, only to be told that the voucher had not been hidden yet. This situation is absolutely unacceptable. Why post clues and encourage participants to rush to the location if the prize has not even been hidden?
Furthermore, I cannot understand why others were able to win prizes on Friday and Saturday mornings, immediately after the clues were posted, yet I was left waiting for over two hours with no reward. My Father’s Day morning was completely wasted, as I had to leave four kids waiting at home.
To make matters worse, after I had spoken to everyone involved, the clues were suddenly removed. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I feel that not only was my time wasted, but my efforts to engage in this event were disregarded entirely.
I hope that you will take this complaint seriously and ensure that future events are better organized and managed to avoid such...
Read moreI recently visited Willowbridge Shopping Centre with my three-month-old baby and was disappointed by how unfriendly the experience was for mothers with infants.
When I asked for a place to breastfeed, I was shown to a toilet cubicle — the only option available. This is neither hygienic nor appropriate, so I had to return to my car to feed my baby.
When leaving, I was three minutes over the free parking limit. At the exit, there was no card payment facility, only a SnapScan code that didn’t scan despite trying two different banking apps. I pressed the help button and explained that I had a crying baby in the car, but the staff member showed no empathy and told me to reverse and find a pay station.
There was no clear signage to the pay stations, and I eventually found one by chance near my car — having to leave my crying baby briefly to pay.
Overall, the lack of proper mother-and-baby facilities, poor signage, unreliable payment options, and uncompassionate service made for a stressful and unpleasant visit. Unfortunately, Willowbridge has not kept pace with the customer service, mother-and-baby facilities, and convenience offered by other leading malls in Cape Town, and is showing signs of falling behind...
Read moreThe anchor tennants are Woolies, Pick 'n Pay and Dischem, all three are sadly not the best versions of these stores. Woolies and Pick 'n Pay carry very limited stock as opposed to their stores in Tygervalley. There is a Pick 'n Pay clothing outlet. Everytime I go to the dispensary at Dischem I feel like I am interrupting their busyness as the queue is miles long while they pack other orders or seem to fiddle about while only one or 2 pharmacist actually serve the queue. There are two bank branches: FNB and Capitec. The other banks only have ATMs. There are 5 new stores, one a gift shop another tour / travel type shop and De Jagers; a clothing store and I see a miniature Queenspark is about to open. Sweetbeet is a juice bar. The Dairy Den; ice cream and doughnut shop that opened on the outside is my favourite. Sadly, the Canna shop closed. There is a sandpit and jungle gyms to keep the kids busy, you can literally watch your kids playing while you eat at one of the...
