I see the same bad attitude from staff and management has continued since you moved from Hudson Street. I see that you still cling to the old habit of telling people you're "fully booked" when the restaurant is nearly empty. And from prior experience, you do this to potential patrons who do not look "rich". I tried to get a table again recently at your new, empty restaurant and I was not looking fancy, so guess what? You're mysteriously fully booked. I passed by later and it was totally empty. Why are we treated like pests or beggars if we don't look like the barbie dolls who the old manager used to flirt with and if we are not wearing designer clothing? I guess we can only come in when we are in designer clothing if we don't look like 19 year old models. Your sushi and your establishment are subpar. Your staff are so rude. Surely you'd show basic respect to the people who are about to pay you and tip you? What on earth possesses you to make you think you can treat customers the way you do? There are so many complaints here about how people are seated and then disrespected by your staff. You are not a Michelin Star restaurant or a private, upper class social club to have this overt sense of self-importance. The best restaurants in this country don't have the bad manners that you do. What's with the attitude? You're not some elite restaurant in London or Paris. You're a basic sushi joint in Cape Town. The other branch on Bree is way, way better with friendly and quick service - regardless of what customers look like/...

We ordered nearly R400 of take-away sushi during the height of the lockdown via Uber Eats. . When the meal arrived it looked suspect with the tuna being grey, instead of red, and the pickled ginger was pale and dry. We didn't feel comfortable eating the meal so decided to check the reviews to see if others had similar experiences. Alas, there were indeed other patrons with similar experiences and who ended up in hospital with terrible food poisoning. The last thing we wanted was to end up in hospital during Covid-19.We rang the store to report the matter and to ask for a refund. We were told to contact Ricardo. We did and sent him pictures of the old food and informed him that we would need to throw the food away. . He insisted we come into the store for a complimentary meal. Being Covid, we politely declined the offer, and insisted that we prefer to be refunded. A few days later he informed me that in order to get a refund, I needed to return the food to the store. I expressed my alarm that he didn't tell me that at the time I informed him that we would throw out the meals. He said he wold get back to me later about the refund, but 6 months down the line, we've still not been refunded or heard back...

I am one of your customers that was SUPER excited that you have re-opened. So I booked for a table of 5 for last night. We literally counted the minutes till we could be there. I mean... Your Sushi is just the best. BUT what a huge dissapointed. We rocked up just before 8 and waiter did not even look at any type of reservation book. So I guess that doesnt exist. We were shown a 4 seater table and was told an extra chair will be added. That meant that I would have had to sit back to back with guy behind me. Everybody was squashed it, NEVERMIND the Corona Virus and social distancing! Looked like sardines in a box. I then went to sit outside (did not want to be subjected to the risk of being contaminated), with no outside heater and was an ice block after 30 minutes. Whilst tryiing to eat some sushi, your clients at one of the tables inside, came out for a smoke break. Not one, but almost 10 people having their puffs right behind me!!! No waiter bothered to ask them to not smoke there. I am so disgusted in this whole experience, words cannot describe my...

Such a quaint little restaurant. We went for the all you can eat sushi and chose the R299 option. This was most definitely a great choice. We had an incredible variety of sushi to choose from, even with the fact that they had loadshedding during our visit and could not make many of the tempura dishes. They did however prepare certain tempura items which meant we could order a few shortly after the power went off. Waiting times between dishes were a little long, but taking into consideration that they were full up with only one 2-seater open, this is understandable. We took our own wine, as they do corkage as well. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to CPT!

The staff are really friendly and accommodating but the sushi itself was horrible. The rice was wet and off (had a sour taste that not even the soya sauce could mask). The overpowering sour and densely packed rice was the main feature of all the available sushi-ratio of rice to any filling was grossly out of proportion. The salmon was washed out and without flavor. The prawn had no flavour at all and felt soggy(we thought the off rice was masking the flavour but you could not even taste the prawn when you removed it from the sushi and ate it alone). Could not eat much because there was so much sour rice that we were put off and even left pieces on the plate.

Amazing spot for sushi. If you are a sushi lover, this is definitely a must for you! They are super affordable and the food is so delicious and you can really taste how fresh everything is. Plus, it's in a great location on a less busy street and the space of the restaurant itself is very lovely. The big glass wall really makes it feel like you're sitting outside when you're inside and makes it more spacious. The only negative is that the service could be better - our waiter stepped in and out of an incredibly unnecessary and random attitude at different points during our visit at the restaurant. But other than that, it's a pleasant experience.
