Rude hostess, slow service, incompetent staff.
My friend booked a VIP table under her name for the 18th of July 2025, which was today. Upon arrival, the hostess was already in a sour mood and asked if I had I reservation. I said yes and gave her the name to which she claimed she « had no reservation under that name » . I told her she must be mistaken as my friend was already there and had booked a VIP table, the name again and what time the booking was for. She proceeds to roll her eyes at me and reiterates that she has no such booking and I « must be at the wrong establishment ». I then call my friend who confirms that the booking is under her name and she’s already there at the back. Once the hostess hears this; she miraculously now has a recollection of said booking and graciously allows me entry. Mind you, the place is empty. There’s only one other table occupied by two ladies so this level of fake exclusivity was disgusting. The same hostess attempts to accost us on the way back from the lavatories as you need to take a lift 2 floors down as if we’d not just walked past her 2 minutes ago. I simply walked past her to avoid any profanities being exchanged as by this point, I was at a point where calling her behaviour out was my next step but I kept it in as again, I was celebrating a birthday
Appalling. Disgusting. Sleezy.
The waiters were no better. Slow service. Seemed to not want to be there/serve us. The drinks were truly some of the worst I’ve had. The food left much to be desired and it is not a place I would ever return to, nor recommend.
Please do better. I cannot begin to explain what a disappointing experience this was especially on someone’s birthday.
As an aside - the « VIP » section, looks like one of the cheap lounges you get at an airport lounge so do with that what you will. If you’re expecting class, Sophisticated, and elegant, I suggest you look...
Read moreI am really disappointed at allure rooftop. Firstly I booked seats for my birthday and the guy on the phone wrote my booking wrong. On my birthday day I called in to make sure that my booking is still on their system and the lady was confused because my booking wasn’t on the list on the 28 of October. Even thou I booked a week before. Then I called again and they said the guy booked me on the 28 of November, which was very disappointing because I sent out invitations already imagine my friends got there before me they would have been standing outside lost. When I got to the place they forgot that they made another booking for me. They gave me a VIP COUCH which I didn’t ask for because I wanted a table because the vip section the table was too small for 8people. Fine we took the table and ordered our drinks. When it got to ordering our food we ordered our food before 20H00 and we only received our food past 9pm which was very disappointing because I have never waited for a whole hour for food no matter how busy the restaurant is. And the restaurant was not that busy because there were seats still open it only got busy when the rugby started. I was so embarrassed because this was supposed to be my special day and having a restaurant mess it up is very wrong. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone the service is poor and terrible.
This has been the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to my whole life. As someone who have been to plenty restaurants overseas and here this has really been the worst experience ever.we had to take takeaways because we had other...
Read moreWe experienced poor customer service during a friend's birthday lunch at Allure. It was raining heavily that day, and the restaurant was not busy. Despite our reservation, another couple was seated in our reserved area, forcing our group of over ten people to wait. It was cold, and when we requested an additional gas heater because ours was running low, we were repeatedly told there was no gas available.
We spent over 8k on food and drinks and asked to settle the bill early as some friends needed to leave. After paying, we were asked to move because we hadn't bought a bottle, and we were told that the area was needed for other guests, though no one else came. We moved to the bar area and continued ordering drinks.
When I suggested buying a bottle to return to our original seats, it was impractical since only three of us drank and we all had to drive home. It felt like we were discriminated against because we weren't influencers. The treatment was unfair; no one came to occupy our original seats, yet later, gas heaters were provided to other guests without issue.
Despite braving the bad weather to enjoy Allure's atmosphere, our experience was ruined because we didn't buy a bottle after spending so much. If you're not an influencer, don't bother going – the media portrayal is misleading, and the customer service...
