The staff lack customer service!

I went through the drive through just to order two cones, we paid and ended up waiting a while but didn’t mind. As soon as we got to the window to collect, we were told that the machine isn’t working, we questioned why we weren’t told when we paid and the response was that it just happened.

We waited and there was not much communication from the staff, my fiancé then called more than 3 times to two ladies standing in our sight and no one responded, we eventually got annoyed and asked if we could just get a refund. We were then offered a shake or cooldrink and we again said no thank you please just refund us. The two ladies then moved away from the window and just left us there waiting, I then told my fiancé to leave the slip at the window and we left

At no point were we rude but communicate to your customers as to if you’re busy with the refund or how long the machine will take or just apologize for the inconvenience.

This store needs major work on customer service, if a R20 refund is too much to ask for then...

This place is an absolute nightmare.

The staff are rude, as though you are wasting their time when speaking with you. I don’t think I have ever ordered one meal from this place where they have actually got the order correct.

Once you have ordered, your order number disappears from the screen, indicating to me that the system is somehow being bypassed so that the orders take forever to get to you. Not to mention the screaming and shouting behind the counter.

I don’t know what the policy is regarding the closing of doors at 19:30 and telling customers that they can only use the drive through, where the chance of your order being wrong is even worse by the way, but this has happened to me on more than one occasion. The most recent time this happened I asked a staff member why this was happening and I was simply told - I don’t have time for people inside, go around ! And the door was promptly pushed closed in my face.

If you’re wanting to waste your time, money and sanity - I implore you to visit McDonald’s in Walmer.

I’ve never had to leave a review before, but this place is a mess.

I have been there for a total of 5 times, each time worse than the last. From missing items, incorrect orders and waiting forever in the drive through- last night was the last straw. My burger made its way home absolutely RAW and FROZEN. When my husband took it back, they said their system is (conveniently) offline and could not refund him.

I’ve gone back each time thinking surely you cannot mess up EVERY SINGLE TIME. Clearly - I was wrong.

Train the staff or shut it down! It is an embarrassment to the McDonald’s franchise.

I won’t go back here, I’d sooner get better service from my dog than the staff at this establishment.
