Nando's Castle Gate Drive Thru — Restaurant in Erasmus Park

I bought the pulled chicken and cheese sandwich which is my go-to order when I get Nando’s. I am incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food. Barely any sauce, the bun was dry and old, the chicken tasted old and overall the sandwich was bland. On top of this, the service was not great either, we were asked to wait in the parking lot for our order (even though no one was behind us in the drive thru). This is when I realised how many cars were waiting for their orders. I assume this is done to give the impression that they are not busy so that people will go through the drive thru with the impression that it’ll be quick and convenient. However, this is not the case as you have to wait for all the other people to get their orders who were also told to go and park.

I have always loved Nando’s as it was a healthier option for fast food but this was really off-putting… I recommend looking at your food and tasting it to make sure it is of a good quality before...

The customer service from this Nando’s Drive Thru is disappointing. The lady who took my order was impatient and discourteous, unfortunately she didn’t have a name tag (13th February, 11:30am). On the til slip the name is “106 Tshegofa”.

When Castle Gate had just opened the customer service was excellent and quick. This was the third time they asked me to park because my order was delayed, and today I waited for 20 minutes before my order was delivered.

I am fond of this Nando’s because it’s clean, has a drive thru therefore convenient for me but I will never go back.

More reasons for me to NEVER go back or even recommend this Nando’s is that I was specific with my order, I asked for “WELL DONE” wings and they were RAW, I had to throw them all out. With all that said, instead of getting all 10 wings, they were 9.

Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the food and the service from the manager Lindalani.

It's loadshedding, we go through the drive through to get dinner. We order two hot pots. The hotpot was OVER powered by cabbage. Like, every single bite was 90% cabbage and here and there you'd get rice or chicken. That entire bowl consisted of cabbage. It was bland. There's no chicken or spicy rice..

So we called the manager and asked if we can please get something else as we barely ate. All he said is, he can't help because we touched the foon 😱 obviously we don't inspect the insides of our food before we go. Normally you just scan to see if you have items you ordered.

I will not recommended this branch. The food is dissapointing. And you surely don't get assistance from management. Customer satisfaction is important, and this honestly left a bitter taste...
