A place that feeds more than hunger.
There are cafés and restaurants that serve food— and then there’s Café Sofi, a place that serves memory, feeling and presence.
The brutalist architecture, outside, may come across as austere to the uninitiated: raw textures, steel chairs, bright white windows. But on the inside, the design melts into something deeply personal. The simple furniture and dishes speak not of extravagance but permanence, echoing a sense of nostalgia— evocative of family dinners. The menu reads like a letter home, with food that is made to comfort. My favorite dish— the lamb and calamari, something I will definitely return to eat. (Side note: ask for the gluten-free cookies— simply divine.)
The staff— incomparable. They treat you like a regular, even if it’s your first time visiting.
Café Sofi has exceeded my expectations. It brilliantly honors the idea of family— not only in the food but in the space itself.
I highly recommend, this restaurant. A new favorite...

Our waiter made us feel like serving our table was an inconvenience. We’re generally an easygoing group, but the service felt hostile and uncomfortable throughout the evening. It was extremely hot inside, so we asked to be moved outside. We were told they would check, but after following up four times, we never got an answer. We were told the outside was reserved, but the restaurant was maybe 25% full at most. The food quality doesn’t justify the price point. For the cost, we expected more attention to flavour and presentation — it just didn’t land.
Overall, a really disappointing experience for a special occasion. Hoping it improves, as the location and concept...
Read moreI visited Cafe Sofi for dinner with friends and was blown away by the experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — a hidden gem that feels both cosy and stylish. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented — and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening.
We enjoyed our dinner so much that I had to return to try the breakfast menu and soak up the morning vibe... and once again, Cafe Sofi did not disappoint! The same excellent service, great energy, and incredible food made for another memorable visit.
Next on the list? The lunchtime menu and vibe — and if it’s anything like my first two visits, I know it’ll be just as amazing.
Highly recommended — this little spot is truly...
