Stopped by on Thursday evening after hearing and reading a lot about Publik wine bar and everything people had said about the place is true. A fantastic atmosphere with lots of people enjoying some very good SA wines carefully selected by Dom and his team.

As yearly Cape Town visitors Publik used to be our favorite place to go for wine and cheese. We were dissappointed to see them dissapear from Church Street but happy to rond they are still around at Tamboerskloof. However, we were faced with our own overpromise. In our minds this was still the same place but with a new location the concept changes as well. The overall vibe is more intimate, more like a wine pub. The best and friendliest wine bar in Cape Town. This is an independently owned and run wine bar with a regular local clientele and very welcoming to visitors. A great atmosphere. Lovely and interesting range of local wines at great prices. The food looked very good, but we didn't try it as we were going for dinner at a nearby restaurant.
