Fishmonger — Restaurant in Gauteng

While at fishmonger early hours of the 6th while trying to settle my bill using my phone – Huawei Nova 10 Pro, a foreign national security or bouncer at the venue took my phone in the presence of trying to assist me. When I requested, he handover my phone he denied that he took my phone as a result I was forced to leave my work laptop. Even after they called Police for refusing to pay the bill, I even told the police this security guy took my phone they would assist to search the guy. The whole incident was handled poorly by Management that night. I even called the later at about 14H45 they were not helpful, yet they saw me busy on my phone trying to settle the bill, now even the managers denied the whole issue even I asked for camera footage for that time. I filled I was ** at fishmongers and the night managers is now concealing the crime I suffered at the hands of the security at staff...

Went out for dinner with friends on a Thursday night...just before the 16th of December public holiday. It was packed and it seemed like they couldn't handle the pressure. Drinks were orderand arrived over 30 minutes later. We had to ask two different people to assist as our waiter was busy elsewhere. Somehow he also got our starter order wrong so we had to wait longer for that to be corrected. Then our main was horrible. Lobster over cooked. Line fish over cooked. Prawns over cooked. Just overall an unpleasant experience. Granted it could have been an anomaly but it was a horrible one.

Went to Nicolway Fishmonger... Nice atmosphere.. We have great knowledge of seafood and have lived in many costal areas so we have knowledge of different kinds of seafood especially fish. We are living in Zambia where Perch is farmed commercially so imagine our disappointment when we pay good money to eat Sea Bass only to find out, despite being told on questioning on numerous occasions otherwise, we ate fresh water Perch. This confirmed by managers on confrontation.. Nothing but fraud and in my opinion theft..It was tasty but could ld have had better back home. Lies were spoken and money...
