Hubby and I visited for breakfast on Sunday morning. When we sat down at a 4-seater table, our server, Brilliant, immediately informed us that we would have to move to a 2-seater once they got busy. Not a great start to the meal. Next, their orange juice delivery hadn't arrived, so I couldn't have a mimosa. Hubby doesn't like hash browns so asked if he could swop it for something else. Another server (unfortunately I didn't note her name) wasn't able to offer any alternatives so suggested that he just leave it off because, and I quote. "you don't pay for the hash browns and can just leave it off." I asked for clarification that the hash browns were in fact free for all customers and was assured that they were. The manager however disagreed, so communication is definitely an issue amongst the staff. The food arrived and there was eggshell in hubby's eggs which the server didn't bother to apologize for and just asked him to remove it and place on another side plate - with no replacement offered. Another manager came over to chat with us but simply didn't understand our frustrations. We won't going back to such poor food and...
Read moreIt was amazing. My mother and I actually just went there to have a quiet coffee to end my birthday, but ended up having dinner and dessert. Our waiter Moses was helpful, efficient and kind and very professional. I was amazed by the cuppacino I had. I only drink almond milk, but never have I had such a creamy froth made from almond milk. Two thumbs up and delicious. I was also surprised with a complimentary birthday custard slice (1000 layered crust) that was to die for. I’m actually disappointed that I did not take a picture of my desert. Thank you Paul’s restaurant. The manager who introduced himself as Lance was incredible. He was the one who convinced us to have dinner and dessert. He had amazing recommendations and we were not left disappointed. He was extremely professional, but also funny and very welcoming. Overall l, the service, experience, atmosphere was 11 out of 10 thanks to...
Read moreIt took ages to get any service (more than 15 minutes). Restaurant about a quarter full. Staff were more interested in the soccer match which seemed like it was being streamed via a cellphone supported next to the coffee machine. We ordered coffee and went to look at the cake options. The woman at the cake display was incredibly rude and didn’t want to help. She mumbled under her breath and started gesturing aggressively towards the cakes. We were gobsmacked. We cancelled our coffee order and left to enjoy what we had planned at The Daily Coffee Cafe. Paul will never see us again! Love the response - "please post your contact details here and we will be in touch". It seems that a lot of owners/managers will reply with this response, giving the impression that they are doing something about it. This of course is totally false as nobody is going to supply that information on a review for...
