Kapstadt Brauhaus Centurion — Restaurant in Gauteng

had a lovely evening out with friends turn in to an extemely distasteful situation:

we were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. service was great, food was good (beer a bit mediocre and somewhat all tasting the same!?).

once we received the bill we decided to pay our part with snapscan and the rest of our party paid their bills by way of card.

with the waiter standing right next to me when making payment i then showed him proof of and asked him to please confirm with the restaurant that payment was indeed received.

after a minute or so he came back with an all good and we all started to say our goodbyes and make our way out of the restaurant which took around 5 minutes.

we merrily got in to the car and started on our way home when we were phoned by a member of our group and asked to please return to the parking area as they were chased down by our waiter (at their car) requesting proof of our snapscan payment!!!!!

we obliged and upon arrival the waiter was waiting for us and told us that his manager sent him after us and DEMANDED that he bring proof that we paid our bill which i then forwarded to him by way of whatsapp!!!

i am utterly disgusted with the way that we were hunted down and made to feel like criminals, and this all AFTER the fact that i showed the waiter proof of payment INSIDE THE RESTAURANT AND ALSO REQUESTED that he confirm that payment was indeed received!

the 30 percent tip that we left adding insult to injury!

kapstadt centurion this is no way to treat a first time customer and we will most definitely not be back for any future...

Last night I took my wife for her birthday to the Centurion branch. Our experience was bad and I won't eat at your restaurant or recommend anyone to eat there. Once when we sat down we immediately ordered our drinks and inform the waiter that once he bring the drinks we will order our food. We received our drinks 45 minutes after ordering. When I want to order my food I had to hear that the restaurant can't help me because they were out of the dishes I tried to order, no meat. When we received our food an hour later, I was in shock to see the three small pieces of sausage on a platter to share. My food was cold and the chicken schnitzel had no taste on my wife's plate. Once our food was delivered we never saw the waiter and he never came to confirm if our dishes were fine. You have lost a customer and unfortunately I can never recommend it to anyone to visit...

Don't know what went wrong, service was just bad. We waited 45 min for our drinks, some received some not. Ordered food and 2 hours later we still did not received our food. We requested our drinks bill and ask Stella to cancel our food order. As we left she informed us our food is ready would we like it as takeaways. She did not accept no and we left with our order as takeaways. Guess what, we got the incorrect order and someone else on our table got our order. A Friend ordered a pizza without chilli and received it with chilli and been informed the kitchen cannot prepare another pizza as they are out of pizzas.

Stella took my number for the owner to contact me, I must say she tried her best.

Sorry to say but Kapstadt Brauhaus will not see us again and will not be recommended by us.
