I'm honestly so disappointed in this place. I psyched myself up for months, excited to try a French bistro. When i arrived, the place seemed a bit dark considering how small it was. We have a table for 2, but honestly, you could barely fit one person at that table. We had to ask the waitress to remove the centerpiece to make space for the drinks and food, but it didn't make much of a difference. And while we're on the waitress, she seemed rather glum about having to serve us. We constantly had to repeat ourselves to her, and she would disappear for such a time that we had to ask for the manager just to get a request made. She kept walking around the restaurant but with no clear direction or plan to indicate she was doing something.

We arrived at 11 and ordered breakfast but we only received our food an hour later, after we enquired about why it was taking so long. When the food arrived, disappointment was an understatement. I had ordered brioche french toast, expecting a thick slice of bread dripping with syrup. Instead, i to a miniature slice of something vaguely resembling bread which had been flattened to within an inch, it had a vague idea of egg coating it.

It's been a long time since i was so miserable with the overall service that i couldn't even finish the food. I'm a big believer in second chances, especially with small businesses, but i will not be going back to this restaurant. The only consolation to this entire disaster was the manager who tried...

Highly recommended! At last a new good french style restaurant (bistro). The food is full of flavor, portion size is good. Typically french, the food is rich and satisfying. Amazing though how many Karens see the word "French" and instantly become a food critic due to all their experience watching Master Chef.... Keep in mind that this a French bistro, serving awesome French style food, which is great. Visiting a super fine dine restaurant is not feasible to eat at often.

On arrival the kitchen gifted all tables with a very tasty crostini with creamy mushroom topping. We enjoyed a selection of the very tasty canapés, followed by the creamy chicken for mains for me, and the filet mignon for my wife. Perfectly flavored in both cases. My wife opted for the berry meringue dessert, and smiled after every bite... (I sneaked a few spoons when she wasn't paying attention - very good dessert option indeed)

Well done to the chef for food well prepared, flavourful and beautifully presented. We will be back...

What a lovely evening! We went to celebrate a birthday based on the restaurant reviews and I must say, Liberte delighted us all. Our waitress was on the ball and so friendly. We ordered the grilled camebert, squid, mushroom pasta and fillet mignon - all amazing. The best food I've had in a restaurant for a really long time. The staff brought a surprise dessert for the birthday boy which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. It was all a 5. I gave it a 4 for atmosphere as the accoustics in restaurant is quite noisy so we found ourselves shouting at each other a bit so that we could hear each other and our table was very close to other tables and it felt a bit squeezed in. Perhaps this is something the team could look at when setting up their tables for bigger groups. Neither of these things would prevent us from visiting again.
