FRANGOS FLAME GRILLED — Restaurant in Gauteng

First visit to this take away and it was an epic fail! Service: I ordered a beef Prego, chicken livers and chicken wrap. I was told 15 minutes. 20 minutes in, my prego and livers were getting cold in the packet while I waited for the wrap.. And waited... Chicken wrap arrived 40 minutes in.

Food: The beef Prego was awful. Pieces of tenderised beef in a gooey sweet/savoury sauce 🤢 No resemblance to a Portuguese Prego at all. Bread drenched in the sauce and the meat just tasted odd. Had one bite and a few chips and gave it to a passing car guard. The chicken livers... Oh my word 🤦🏻‍♀️ A plastic tub of mushy, brown stuff which honestly looked like dog food (see video) The only saving grace was the chicken wrap, which was at least tasty... But also so saucy that the last quarter was just a mushy mess.

Really disappointing 😐 I was excited when I saw the 4.6 rating but in my experience, really not deserved. R195 wasted and still...

Had dinner at this little gem last night and Wow, what a fresh breeze of Portuguese Food for Take-Away other than the Nando's and Pedro's. This Husband and Wife team deserve their reward of one of the Top 10 Restaurant Finalists in South Africa. Great Food and best hospitality. Vic I hope to see some more Peri-Peri Frango's coming up in the future. You will surely make the other competitors think about......................!

I would recommend this little piece of Portugal to anyone. Go and try their food and hospitality. Nando's not seeing...

I can hands down say this is a new favorite compared to similar franchise restaurants.

The food was fresh, flavorful, plenty and delicious. Every bite deserved a Mmmm. The host is so wonderful, a genuine human. We were taken care of like we were at a friend's home, it was special.
