How I wish I could leave a better rating. The food was delicious, but the service we received was absolutely disgusting.
We arrived, were seated and ordered our starters and drinks. 10 minutes later, one of your staff members approached us. She had a personal problem with me ordering a cocktail. She asked if I'm pregnant, I said yes, then she exclaimed that the cocktail contained alcohol, and asked if I was fine with that. I informed her that yes, I read the menu, I know it contains alcohol and that I was in fact, fine with it. If only the intrusive questions stopped there.
She carried on, asking me how far along I am, as if she could use her expert medical opinion to gauge when it is appropriate for me to consume alcohol. I again reassured her, needlessly informing her that I am full term and that the baby will be induced in a few days and that again, one shot of vodka in a cocktail would be fine.
Still, she was relentless in her impersonal questioning, asking "Oh, they're going to take the baby out?" I again informed her that yes he will be induced in a few days, can I just have my cocktail.
She then thought it appropriate to comment on the size of my stomach and the shape of my body and compared it to 'her people' when they're pregnant. I eventually asked her "while we're on this topic, is there anything else about me or my body that you would like to have a personal opinion on?" This, of course, went over her head and she just reiterated everything she had already insulted me with, before going back to her counter retreat. Ironically though, she had no issues with the fact that I was about to consume copious amounts of raw salmon. I guess her expert medical opinion didn't stretch that far.
We then waited about another 15 minutes before the food arrived (we had each ordered 3 items off the all-you-can-eat sushi menu. This arrived and based on the time it took, we decided to order the next round while we finished the first. We finished the first round and waited another 10 minutes before the 2nd round arrived. Upon arrival of the 2nd round, our server informed us that we have to order smaller quantities, otherwise she's going to have to charge us extra if we waste.
We conceded and finished the 2nd round of sushi. We called her over to order a 3rd round and I asked her to please clarify what a "small portion" is, to which she responded 3 menu items each. Ok great, so what we had been doing then, just minus the threats. Have your policies, cool. If I waste, I'm happy to pay extra. But don't threaten me to order the same amount you deem appropriate. Especially since we've been here for 2 hours and have been the only seated customer's your establishment has received today.

We were asked to order our buffet options as many as possible at once. The waitress seemed friendly in the beginning but became very rude and full of attitude as the night progressed. She does not check on you or bother to take your other buffet orders and I had to continuously flag her down about 6 times during the evening to get her attention at the reception area even to just get ice for drinks. They have a note on the menu saying they charge extra for wastage so be very careful when ordering. The drinks order and food take long so put in your order as soon as you get there. The bill came and it was incorrect at R719, we queried it and the waitress insisted it was correct plus implying we don't want to pay up until she checked with someone else and corrected it to R512. The waitress also put the wrong amount on one of the bank cards and later came with another bill stating total as R572!! And she didn't put the bill on the table and only showed us the total amount which was again incorrect!! She insisted we pay the balance. Plus we already gave her a cash tip. Read moreMy friend and I were there on a Sunday. We were the only people there. It took a long time for her drink to come, and then another 10 minutes for mine to arrive. We had the buffet menu. Their spring rolls and wontons were very nice, however they were out of stock of most things on the menu. Dumplings, dim sum, custard bao. We had the other type and the filling was dry. We decided to start with the chefs specials, it was okay. Most of them contain a mixture of chicken and fish. However, we got to one that was soggy and flamed (it was not stated on the menu) , it tasted burnt and like gas. It was awful, and a few other pieces were similar. When the waitress came around to take it, she let us know that we would have to pay for the left over pieces. We continued to tell her that we really couldn't stomach it and she said she would handle it. My friend then ordered ice cream and it came out as water - the waitress then told us it was due to loadshedding. It really wasn't a good experience at all. My stomach felt awful afterwards. Why have items on the menu, and then can't provide it? It must be awful for the staff to have to say that to customers. And the waiting time, when we were the only ones in the restaurant is insane?
