Terrible service, food and communication from this branch Ordered the food at 18:16pm, order was due at 18:56, 40mins is still a bit long but unstandable as their drive through takes 5mins at the window and you're done

And I only live 2.4km from the branch (it is their delivery service not Uber eats or MRD)

Order only arrives at 19:58, when we call the branch the lady says she will call the driver and call us back in 5min 13mins later we call back and still no feedback Eventually calls back to say the driver left at 18:50 which was 40mins ago, not sure where he is and not contactable (information that does no good) They will make another order and send it "If" another driver comes back. And when asked if there isn't a driver that comes back, she says I don't know.

Eventually the driver calls and says his been trying to contact me for awhile A LIE!!! As my phone was in my hand the entire time trying to figure out where the order is. I Get to the driver and ask him to show me his call log and there's only a single call going out to me which was to tell me he is at the gate.

Take the food up to eat and the chicken is still uncooked and wrong flavour Which is the last thing anyone wants to see after waiting that long. A total turn off!!

You guys really compromised price over quality and service! In the current affairs that's going on, many restaurants would appreciate and be efficient for business But Nandos just don't care.

You can do millions of Rands in advertising But word of mouth is the best And you definetly won't be getting a positive one!

Do not contact me for feedback to resolve the issue or a refund!! Even if it was free I wouldn't eat at this branch again I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT NANDOS MALL@REDS...

I take no pleasure in writing this (overdue) review, but after my latest experience, this is required.

I've been a loyal Nando's freak for 2 decades now, to the point where I visit family members for meals, and they ask me if I want Nando's to eat.

After an altercation with the manager of this store, I stopped eating here and enjoyed my Nandos meals at the Sandton City branch, even though they don't know me, always served me my meals how I wanted it.

So, craving for Nandos on this boring Saturday night at 8pm, I decided to order via the app, with this branch out of desperation.

I ordered my 1/4 chicken mild and strips hot, asking for extra sauce, but it seems the griller who prepared my order read it the opposite way, putting no sauce at all.

There is literally no sauce on the skin or even the inner bag. The closest thing to sauce was the liquid created by the steam in the packet.

When I had an altercation with the manager, back in August 2024, he showed me what was normal sauce and what was extra sauce.

So, ordering via the app, somewhat anonymous, and I get my food dry, this tells me that this branch never follows Nandos SOP to begin with, or the manager doesn't know the SOP.

Why would I buy a dry 1/4 chicken for 70 odd rand, when I can go to a KFC, Chicken Licken or Pedros, and get double the food for...

Not a great experience for me today. If the place was busy I could maybe cut them some slack but there were very few people which leads me to believe that they simply don't much care about sit down service. It's always a bad start if your food arrives before your drinks because your waiter forgot to bring the drinks in the first place. It makes it worse when you then don't see the waiter till he suddenly appears again only when the food is brought to the table. Then the order isn't complete and you have to wait ages for them to make the food they forgot. All this in the sweltering and uncomfortable heat because their windows are locked and they won't open them because someone in the past has climbed through the window instead of walking around to the door. Awesome so now everyone must be punished. Which doesn't explain why the air conditioning system was off. To their credit they did turn the AC on when we asked for it, but why have it at all if you aren't going to use it. Despite all that the food was good but we weren't given cutlery and we had to go looking for a waiter to get some. It is the little things that make or break an experience, this was just a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I really can't recommend this place to anyone and I won't be making a return visit...
