World of Samoosas — Restaurant in Gauteng

We ordered a dozen fried which consisted of the potatoe , cheese and corn, chilli cheese and cheese which covered most of the vegetable samoosas. Left being dissappointed with all of the samoosas that lacked filling and taste. The colour was off and was oily. Perhaps it was just a bad day and their meat options are better.

We also had the paneer masala and butter naan. The curry was very oily which made it overwhelming and unpleasant.

The service was relatively slow and seemed like the waiters were pre-occupied with other duties rather than attending to customers. I also noticed another family leave their tables with having a substantial amount of food left behind.

There is also no place at their sit in restaurant to wash your hands. Management should really consider investing in their sit in section with atleast allowing their customers to wash their hands before and after eating. After all this establishment has been around for many many years.

Unfortunately won't be back there...

This place is located in Oriental Plaza, which is super convenient when you’re out shopping. The service is quick and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. My mom, best friend, and I decided to try a few of their samoosas, and we were not disappointed. We had the potato samoosas and the spinach samoosas, and they were absolutely delicious! They were filling, packed with flavour, and really hit the spot while we shopped.

The flavours were fresh and well-balanced, and you could tell a lot of care goes into making each one. The crispy pastry on the outside and the generous filling on the inside made them hard to resist. It was such a treat to have something so tasty while taking a little break from shopping.

I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. The combination of convenient location, friendly service, and amazing samoosas makes this a spot worth visiting whenever you’re at...

I am filled with gratitude as this place brings back cherished memories of my younger days spent with my parents. We used to travel from Pretoria, spending the day at the Plaza while they helped me find suits to wear.

The food at World of Samoosas never fails to delight me. From the delectable little triangle treats to the mouthwatering bunny chows, every visit to Joburg is truly a special treat.

The service at this establishment is always swift and efficient. On this occasion, we decided to take our food to go and enjoyed it on a humble garage bench outside the city. Even in that simple setting, the food tasted just as fantastic as ever.

I am sincerely thankful for the culinary experiences and nostalgic feelings that World of Samoosas evokes. It's a place that holds a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful for...
