A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience at Takashi Sushi Bar
Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Takashi Sushi Bar for the first time, joining their delightful Tuesday weekly buffet—and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the owner and sushi chef, George. His hospitality was second to none, as he not only made us feel at home but also took the time to walk us through the menu, explaining everything with genuine care and enthusiasm. It’s rare to encounter such a thoughtful touch in today’s dining scene. Alongside him, his co-chef Elvis mirrored the same level of friendliness and professionalism, creating an inviting atmosphere that made us feel like we were guests in their own home.
The ambiance of Takashi Sushi Bar was equally impressive—intimate, yet lively, with exquisite background music that added to the overall charm. It’s clear that every detail, from the service to the setting, is thoughtfully curated to enhance your dining experience.
Now, onto the food. Simply put: best sushi I’ve ever had. The portions were incredibly generous, and the quality of the ingredients was top-tier. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—each dish was a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers both on taste and quality like Takashi Sushi Bar.
A special shout-out to George and Elvis for making our experience so memorable. Your warmth, attentiveness, and genuine smiles truly elevate the entire dining experience. You went above and beyond, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Your commitment to outstanding hospitality truly sets this place apart.

Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Takashi Sushi Bar and will never go back. The owner, George, was incredibly disrespectful and unwelcoming from the start. We waited two hours for our food, and eventually, we decided to leave because it was clear we weren’t going to get served anytime soon.
To make matters worse, George left the restaurant during this time, abandoning the only staff member working there. It’s unbelievable that he expects one person to handle everything while he disappears. This lack of organization and professionalism is appalling.
I wouldn’t recommend Takashi Sushi Bar to anyone. Save your time, money, and energy and go somewhere that values its...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. 2nd time ordering from them. Shameful small sushi pieces. Salmon Californian rolls shorter and smaller than the Maki (size of a R2 coin) just to give you an idea what to expect. Fashion sandwich about half of the average size it should be. R270 for 36 pieces that were actually more like an 18 piece. Waited 50 minutes. Only 1 table was occupied by 2 persons and we waited along with Mr D drivers for our order. Ingredients not that fresh either. More avo than prawn or salmon in each piece. Rather call them avo pieces. Will not be ordering from them...
