RocoMamas Gateway — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

The RocoMamas Gateway branch is an especially fun and trendy part of the franchise, not only does it boast an unconventional yet comfortable and unique atmosphere, the food is absolutely flavourful! The waiting time is not ridiculously long and neither are the menu options boring and bland. The menu itself is a very interesting part of the meal choosing process with a variety of options and the opportunity to mix and match some if your favourite meal items,whether you're a meat or veggie lover. The meals themselves are value for money, and have lovely presentation. In fact, the waffles I'd ordered were large enough to share, and so are many of the other menu options. I highly recommend a visit at this restaurant if you're a fan of good vibes and great aura. The staff are friendly and attentive, the shakes are to die for(literally, with their slow death by chocolate,a personal favourite) ,the food is delectable, and hold up,there are no PLASTIC STRAWS, which is highly commendable! The one star lost was solely because of the damaged cutlery(Forks), that clipped and gripped my younger sister's lips quite a few times during her meal due to bent prongs, but other than that, the place was brilliant,so just go and...

I have to mention this as my partner and myself have gone to MANY restaurants all over the country over the past 8 years and have been to many RocoMamas outlets but RocoMamas Gateway has to be the best experience by far as your manager Sdumo and his ENTIRE team are absolutely remarkable.   The ambience they give off, the welcome we received and their service and food is absolutely impeccable.   They made us feel like we were absolute royalty.  Such fun I have to say.   I truly believe that ALL your staff throughout the country should be trained by them.

I want to say THANK YOU so much for this experience and I really believe that they are a true ASSET to your franchise.

They most certainly need to be rewarded for their unbelievable service.   I rate them 5 Star and more.... if there was such an option.

Back to Johannesburg for us tomorrow and I am so grateful for them who made our last evening at the coast (for now)...

A thoroughly unpleasant experience.

It used to be extremely well run but now I am not coming back. There was no manager on duty last night and the entire experience was rubbish， especially since we came for my son's birthday.

The meal took an hour to arrive and was provided in installments over the next 30 minutes. Apparently the waiter didn't check the last meal was ordered so it had to be made from scratch after the rest of the table eventually received theirs. It is a principle of decent manners not to start eating until everyone has received their meal so I ended up eating a cold meal. The establishment was fulfilling take away orders and had no concerns about their patrons.

I expect a full refund and apology from the owner. The current behaviour will result in the business...
