I am extremely disappointed with the service I received today. I placed an order for an Extra-Long Chilli Cheese meal for R109.80, with a delivery and service fee of R9.49, totaling R119.29. Unfortunately, I made an error and forgot to add my address, so the app showed it as being ordered and delivered to Gateway. I immediately contacted the driver, Boniface, with my correct address, and he assured me it was fine and that he would deliver it.
When he arrived, he refused to drop off my order, claiming he couldn’t wait for me and had other customers to attend to. He then left and sent a message saying he would leave my order at the store. I went to Burger King, only to be told they had not received any order from the Uber driver. The manager told me to calm down he will get the staff to prepare the order for me and assured me he would sort it out, but after making me wait for 10 minutes, he sent one of his staff to tell me to email Uber Eats because they couldn’t help me. He claimed they tried contacting the driver, but he wasn’t answering. Why make me wait for 10 minutes after telling me you will prepare my order?
I’m beyond frustrated with the lack of service from both Uber Eats and the Burger King manager. I paid for this meal and expected it to be delivered or at the very least, proper communication. I demand a full refund for this unacceptable experience AS I DID NOT...
Read moreRight, where to start this review, we'll let's start with the error made by the cashier at the gateway branch. This wonderful woman managed to mess up the order of 6 chicken burgers by giving us beef instead. We found this out when it was brought home by examination of the meat, as the burger itself was wrapped in a wrap which read, 'chicken'. Now, it is against my culture to eat beef and when burger king call center was phoned we were not dealt with properly and were instead given an alternate cell number which was either never picked up or picked up and not answered when we spoke. This shows a blatant disregard for the customer and quite frankly shocking customer service which I have never experienced with any restaurant or fast food industry. At the end of the day my voice as a customer was not heard and never will be again with regard to burger King as I will be purchasing meals from McDonald's instead.
Thank you for this experience and I sincerely hope that burger King is able to address my concerns for future customers...

I am a very disappointed customer, this was my first experience going to burger King, the staff were so unpleasant and the Manager seemed to have been putting them under pressure in front of customers which is unprofessional, I was given the incorrect order the Sanitary conditions where so horrible, the staff used the same trays that previous customers used without sanitising them, I ordered a milktart milkshake and it was half full, I expect as a customer Burger King do their best to satisfy me as a customer to reevaluate my first experience as a customer, I will be taking to social media and health and safety regulatory bodies if I am not compensated from Burger King in the form of vouchers and goodies, this was the worst experience ever, invest in a new system to let customers know that their orders are ready, it is very unprofessional to scream across the eating area...
