Nando's Pietermaritzburg (Victoria Road) — Restaurant in Msunduzi Local Municipality

Worst dining experience I have had!!! Today 19 of my colleagues and I visited the Nandos in Victoria Road Pietermaritzburg. Foreseeing that this would be a large order, we took the time to email through a detailed order, a day (24hrs) in advance to allow sufficient time for our order to be prepared as we had indicated that we only have a 1 hour lunch between 1 and 2 pm. We were reassured that our order would be promptly ready for us at 1pm. We arrived at the restaurant to no food ready for us, the most pathetic customer service. We spent half an hour with no food, beverages or waiters attending to us. Eventually we had to start serving ourselves. By the end of lunch 4 of our friends hadn't even received any food and had to leave hungry. The new Manger by the name of Avi, together with his waiters were the most useless, incompetent restaurant staff I have ever met. He had completely lost control of the situation and had disappeared to the back of the restaurant for the remainder of lunch. I will not recommend this Nandos branch. Tonight I had a terrible encounter with Nandos in Victoria road I asked for a well done piece of chicken,the guy who was cleaning the stove looked so irritated.He literally put the chicken for 5 Min and then put it in the packet and added the sause.He did not grill it with the sauce I asked him to put it again and add the sauce while grilling it.He left that piece of chicken until it was charcoal.I have never seen such attitude.His name is Nkululeko not sure about his surname.I then called the manager who did not...

Appalling service. Was in shock at what I witnessed. The manager does not have the mental capacity to be a manager. Problem was the cashier that failed to take down the order correctly as a result the kitchen prepared order incorrectly but the manager had no service ethics. Not once did she apologize. Her attitude in rectifying the problem made us feel like we were in the wrong which was more infuriating.
