Fishaways — Restaurant in Musgrave

I had the need to get supper on the go last night 21/12/2019 around 20h10, so around 20h20 I called Fishaways Musgrave to place my order F2 for collection. I spoke to Phila and told him that I did not wish to wait hence the phone call and would be at the shop 20 mins from then to collect and pay for the order, which he assured me would be ready I got to fishaways Musgrave around 20h50 and there was no one at the counter, so I went to the Steers counter, knowing as I do that they are both owned and operated by Patrick, and this has happened before where the Fishaways counter was not manned. The girl at the Steers counter knew nothing about my order and called the guy Phila who denied taking the order. No apology was tendered, general rudeness and no effort to meet my needs even when I offered to pay if they could do my order IMMEDIATELY. If you look at video footage (which I know the store has) you will see me take my credit card out of my wallet to pay- and both parties looking at me like I had sprouted a second head I have been going to that particular place since it was just a Steers and I note with disappointment that your staff have become deplorable. It is unlikely I will return I would rather drive to another outlet as I have the option to. No one treats me that way and expects to get my hard...

I purchased rice and hake for R109 via Uber and I paid R125 including delivery. When the food arrives, fish was fine but the rice wasn't fresh and was not well cooked. So I ate only fish and kept the rice on the fridge to return it. I finished work late, then I returned it the following day. I didn't like the attitude of the person who was handling my case, she was wearing Steers uniform not sure if it's their supervisor or manager. But she proved to me that she didn't have customer service skills. She didn't apologize for the quality of food they gave me and ask me if they should replace rice only as I had eaten fish. I replied to say if they replace rice only then they need to refund me petrol for driving from where I stay in the city to Musgrave and that's only when she replaced my meal. Just ordered the chips, rice, hake and coleslaw with a MEDIUM size of calamari tubes from the Musgrave Centre branch.

The portion of calamari could not feed half a person, the chips and rice were also extremely small in quantity despite ordering up to a medium size.

I call the branch to query with the Manger who refused to give me her name and insisted 'you got what you ordered'. She was very dismissive and kept saying 'I don't know what the problem is' - she then offered for me to come fetch chips tomorrow (what am I going to do with that and if I go in-store why did I order for delivery).

After I asked again for her name she drops the call.

I will never support this branch again.
