The best value restaurant in Hermanus, by far. Not the cheapest, but the best value. 'Normal' food cooked with the skills and presentation of fine-dining, but priced as normal food. It's a ridiculously good restaurant and definitely the best value meal that I have had anywhere in South Africa in years. I had the cheese souffle starter (OMG!), followed by 'simple' fish and chips. Simple food is not always easy, but the fish batter was perfectly light and crispy and the three-times cooked chips were a taste sensation. This used to be a good fine-dining restaurant, which is ok but not always to my taste, nor my wallet's, now it is a simple-food-done-amazingly restaurant that I'd happily visit...

Comfortable and relaxed setting at a beautifull location. The decor breathes the 20's and the pictures in the hallway show an interesting line of celebrities who stayed at the hotel and dined in the same restaurant.
