Fusion Restaurant - Hermanus — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

The place is nice and cozy and it has food options to choose from. It accommodates vegetarians and vegans as well which is a nice thing. We ordered hake & chips, garlic prawns, cauliflower tortilla wrap , and nachos. I loved the tortilla wrap but i wish it was a bit smaller or it comes in two wraps instead of a huge wrap. The taste was fresh and i enjoyed eating it. The hake and chips was also fresh and nice to have. The nachos was okay not the best but good enough. The garlic prawns didnt have that strong garlic taste and it took alot of effort to eat them as they arent peeled and cleaned up so youll need to spend so much time to just eat them. If it had more of this garlicy flavor it would’ve been better. The service was good and the staff was well informed. What we didnt like is that the staff member insisted on a 10% tip and mentioned it’s mandatory. As a restaurant if it was mandatory you must have it in fine print on the receipt and even on the menu. We are always greeted as if to visit an old friend. And not just us anyone who comes along or passes who's not to busy to stop and say a word or two. This really makes the place so welcoming and easy to settle into. The outside seating is definitely recommend if you want a wide view of the ocean and have the kids play at the play park across the street. Always clean and comfy and the sun falls perfectly over the area during the day and the place is well lit during the evenings (candles as well😍).

The waiters are on point, well chosen, and trained. They are professional, friendly and warm which is exactly what's needed for this winter season!

I could fill a book with complements about their food and drinks. You will surely be satisfied and the quality exceeds the price and that shows that they are in the hospitality industry to leave all of us with a happy...

.....not a bad place to have a meal while waiting for the whales to appear and perform their rituals for us down below at he beach which is in full view right from where you sit and enjoy your meal! There are also different bands performing with musical instruments all the time which transforms your outing here into an enjoying event, food & music! They have a good variety of foods to choose from, fish, meats and vegetarian! They also serve wine, beer and coffee! we had fish & chips which was not too good as the batter on the fish was way to crisp-ii and dry! But if you are hungrii and wanted to try something different then you have to be satisfied with what you get. Service and staff was not bad at all. Doubt if we will eat here again in the future as we always visit Hermanus for the whale festival as we have been doing for the last five years already!......Good and fare...
