Steers Drive Thru — Restaurant in Roodepoort

I’ve always been very happy with the service received when going through the drive through at Steers Wilgeheuwel, but tonight I decided to order online. And this I regret. Delivery was very very quick, which is fantastic but the food delivered was wrong. I ordered the two double phanda burgers with chips special. I received 2 single phanda burgers with chips. I called the Steers contact centre to let them know about the mistake, and 5 min later the manager of the branch phoned me back asking about the order and said that she would send out a new delivery with the correct order. She then asked if we still have the burgers, so I told her that my husband already ate his, but I still have mine. To which she said that I must send my burger back to them. Which I feel is uncalled for, because it is not my fault they messed up my order, and now I’m forced to wait even longer before I can eat (since logging the complaint it took 40 min for the “correct” order to get here). If they needed evidence of the order being wrong I could have taken pictures. Also, when the right order finally got here, they only sent me 1 double phanda burger and extra chips, but not the other one, probably because my husband already ate his - which is nonsense, because we still didn’t get what we paid for). Ordered 4 quarter chicken and chips with 2 drinks and was instructed to please wait in the parking lot and the order would be brought to the car in 15 minutes. I asked my daughter to politely ask for an update on our order inside the store after we had been waiting for 25 minutes. The lady at the till allegedly rolled her eyes at her and was told by the staff working at the back that the order had been waiting for collection in the front. When confronted about the treatment of my daughter the staff member acted like it never happened. The car was parked in plane view of the drive thru collection window. Why inform customers that the order would be brought to the car and have us wait then give us an attitude when we enquire about it? Order 2 veg burger meals. 1 with tomato, 1 without. Both meals didn't have tomato. I was clear about the order with the person taking the order. We went over the order twice so she would understand. I wasted my time. This must be physical demanding task to not add a slice of tomatoe. At 69.99 a meal, is it that difficult to understand and execute the order. I explained the order twice, went over it again so it was understood. On a Sunday night, I should drive back for a slice of tomato.
