Tiger's Milk Kwena Square — Restaurant in Roodepoort

We visited Tigers Milk Kwena Square on July 5th for lunch, eager to try their food for the first time. We were excited to take advantage of the great Obviaas burger special. However, our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, no one greeted us at the entrance, and we had to seat ourselves. The first table we sat at was wobbly, so we had to move. We asked if we could substitute a Coke Zero for the included Coke, as my mom is diabetic. While they couldn't make the substitution, they offered an additional Coke Zero, which we appreciated. We ordered the burger patty to be cooked medium-well. The burger looked great when presented by another waiter, and we didn't have to wait long. However, the patty was cooked well-done, with a burnt charcoal taste. Neither waiter asked if we wanted any sauce. When we received the bill, we were incorrectly charged for a coffee we didn't order. We also noticed the 300ml Coke can we received was priced at R32, while the menu listed 220ml Cokes at R27. We totally understood that and were willing to pay for the correct price, but please notify the client the other price if another volume of the drink will be served as not stipulated on the menu. The bill total was also incorrect after the discount. We just wanted to pay and leave at that point. The waiters' friendliness and atmosphere were not up to par, and we were very disappointed, as we had high expectations based on the restaurant's great reviews and the delicious-looking food on...

I've never had a bad experience with a Tigers Milk but this was the exception, if Minus star reviews existed, this would be the time to use it. It was simply awful.

You cannot get through on the phone lines, the bathrooms were not operational and you had to walk across the centre to use the ones located near the checkers. I ordered calamari that indicated it came with a side, however the waiter told me it didn't. R220 for a cup of calamari - poor value for money. The fish tacos were supposed to have three but only came with two.

Our waiter introduced himself as Kanye West, because the sound system made it impossible to hear his name according to him, and the service was abhorrent.

40 minutes for three draught beers, which we repeatedly had to request. They also did not have basic items like Castle lite and standard ciders in stock despite it being a Saturday night.

I booked in person and made it clear that we were celebrating a farewell - the host had no clue about a reservation or a special occasion.

My final words are it is a poorly managed establishment with a complete lack of professionalism and does not comply with the standard of service I am accustomed to from Tigers Milk. I completely regret choosing this venue for what should have been a memorable and...

Hubby and I were there yesterday, place is very pricey and service was the worst I have ever experienced. The tacos displayed on the menu shows 3 but when it came out it was only 2. Our waiter forgot to bring my loaded fries. We started eating our mains thinking that the fries would come soon, but nothing, we completed our mains and then asked the waiter where the fries were, she then realized that she forgot to bring it.(It was made but she forgot to bring it to the table) we told her we no longer want it as we were done with the steak and tacos. Steak was dry and lacked seasoning. While this is happening to us, a couple in front of us sent a glass of red wine back because the glass was so dirty, but this is not what bothered me it was the fact that the guy and lady behind the bar then proceeded to argue as to whose responsibility it was to clean the glass, the guy raised his voice saying that it was the lady fault as she was supposed to clean the glass. Then later on two gentleman came through and one of them had to flag a waiter down, explaining that it had been more than 15 mins and nobody has come to take their order. It was a mess.
