The Curry Bar in Langebaan — Restaurant in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

So Dillon and I took a drive and decided to make a stop at the curry bar, coming in, the setting was very simple but the food was excellent

We both had the chicken curry bunny chow, and I must say, talk about delicious, it was served with a pickled carrot salad and a garlic Naan bread... As a chef, I simply don't indulge in anyone's curry, but the curry was amazing and I definitely recommend it, the bread served with it was fresh and I could taste the freshly, nutty flavor We also had the daltjies, cause Dillon is always hungry. We then finished off our meal with a fresh strawberry milkshake and chocolate one.

The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and the recommendations given by them did not fall on deaf ears. Thank you for informing us on what you think we should have eaten...

Suggestions: please add a bit more salt to the food, to enhance the flavor of the of the curry...

The place is decent. Actually, it looked like it would be a great place to experience. But, The two things we ordered were both finished or not available! Vetkoek w/beef and Lamb curry w/roti. The servers were not very welcoming. We wanted to use the bathroom and they literally MADE us order FIRST before we could use the facilities, even after we told them we were there as patrons. We felt profiled and super uncomfortable.

On any other day, I'd credit this place with being one of the VERY FEW halaal food places in Langebaan. But the treatment left a lot to be desired. I ended up ordering Beef curry w/Roti but gave it away without eating it. I hate the feeling I got standing in that cafe. Perhaps, when others visit, they will be treated better. I...

Man oh, man. What a find!? When the food is so good, that you don't even get round to taking pics of it and just dive in! This happened to me when I visited.

I had the beef curry wrap, my wife a chicken curry wrap. And everything was great. Have to admit, that I would've loved more kick, but I'm a Heatonist. 😋 A very satisfying compromise that I found, was to add, their lovely pickled vegetables (sold separately in Take Away containers) and that was kick enough.

Yes, it's not super spicy. But curry doesn't have to be. The meat was tender and the dish was so well balanced.
