Bootlegger XS Sea Point — Restaurant in Sea Point

Unbelievable, a Coffee shop..Yes, please miss manager inform yourself (this is how you are listed on the internet) ..not as a restaurant.Thankyou for trying to justify why we could not be seated where we wanted to sit, and that you told us that bootlegger is not a coffee shop, but a restaurant. Bigger tables are reserved .....of which there were several empty ones when we arrived. All we wanted was a Sunday morning coffee and breakfast with our friends who were going to join us (thus we wanted a bigger comfortable table, but noone asked us for how many people). ... what is happening? The service was once very good... Accommodating and friendly.. It feels as our support as clients is probably no longer needed...!!!

We were told that for the reserved tables someone would be coming shortly, and on checking 20min later, most of the reserved tables still had no one seated.....and empty reserved tables were still available. We then went downstairs to Kneads, where we got a friendly reception and had a choice of several available table, of any table we wanted. We had a great service there and a great breakfast. We fail to understand your business sense in regard to loyal customers. FYI, we have been regular customers since going back to your flagship store...

Bootlegger Shocking service!!! I have been a loyal client at this branch for 4 years and have always been satisfied. Of late though, the quality and presentation of food has declined. I arrived at the counter at 07h20 to find 7 staff members milling about doing nothing. I ordered 2 x warmed croissants on a board with cheese and butter to be brought over to my place of business as I have always done. I sent one of my staff over to remind them of my order after a 15 minute wait.Twenty minutes after placing my order a waitron arrived with two cold croissants in polystyrene containers with cheese and no butter. I went over and requested a refund. The manager offered to fix my order. Once again I explained what it was that I wanted. Ten minutes later, the same waitron came over once again with two croissants in polystyrene containers without cheese. The simplest possible order on your menu and they couldn't get it right... twice! The service has declined noticeably at this branch. Watching your staff stand about doing absolutely nothing... and unable to deal with a single order...

Just experienced #BootleggerCoffee daily 1/2 price #burger🍔 special➡had Emmenthal Cheeseburger+"BootBurger" with cheddar+pickles...simply sublime.

Not sure what they've changed in beef burger recipe, but burgers were WAY juicier, tastier, better texture and perfectly grilled since my last review.

Also, manageress Carmo-Lee was the absolute epitome of gracious, friendly, professional, engaged and fun hospitality; striking the perfect balance between the normal Capetonian disdainful arrogance and overweening, fake subservience...many so-called "5*" hotels could learn from her.

Very, very impressed with the improvements here..will DEF be back. 😁🌍💝
