The Mussel Monger & Oyster Bar (Mojo Market) — Restaurant in Sea Point

My first experience of the Mussel Munger was in Stellenbosch on a hot afternoon, and devoured a dozen fresh oysters and a glass or two of the Villiera Brut bubbly. This imprinted such a memory on me, which was nearly 4 years ago, pre-covid (🙌🏼), that I’ve never had to look far to find them again. A few months later of the same year found them at Mojo Market, and this time tried the Mussels, served with a light sauce and delicious deep fried dough balls, us South Africans call ‘Vetkoek’, to dunk the deliciousness of the sauce and ocean fresh fare. This is one of favorites for a low-key date night, or for a quick off the beach snack, paired with some amazing wines from Villiera (Bubbly, Whites & Reds).

Highly recommended & ultra consistent! Mojo Market always delivers some great music and entertainment...

We were I capetown, and I wanted to try oyesters...I googled and it suggested me this place.

We rushed there, there was a big food market there near the seapoint . I made myself comfortable at Oyster Bar and told the lady that this is my first time and I want try oysters. That lady was Co operative she offe3d me to try two as trial and if I like, I can go for some more. Good idea

The bar is kind of a real bar with bar table kindb of sitting. Service was good and the lady took special care of me. She served the trial and taught me how to eat it. Wow it was amazing. I loved it and ordered some more. Lady gave me different methods and idea to consume it. She evern took my VDO.

Overall, I loved oysters and amazing experience at this Bar..I will come again...

5 stars across the board. I saw this place while searching for a salon because I needed a pedicure. I decided I would walk to mussels...after my pedicure. What a fantastic decision. I walked into mojo market to eat mussels at mussels.... when I got there the young man at the restaurant gave me a very decriptive explanation of the menu. Based on his explanation I chose the tempura battered mussel with a sauce. OMG it was fantastic. The mussels were so fresh the sauce was slighty tangy mayo based and complemented it so well.
