A Culinary Gem with Unmatched Hospitality – Brad's Grill
Having relocated from its previous location in Claremont, Brad's Grill in Sea Point, Cape Town, has quickly ascended to legendary status, largely thanks to its charismatic owner, Brad. This steakhouse isn't just about the food, although that in itself is exceptional. The ribeye, fillet, and T-bone are cooked to perfection, and the Kabeljo fish is a revelation. But Brad's Grill is more than a steakhouse; it's an experience.
Brad himself is the heart and soul of the establishment. His personality is reminiscent of a character from a Woody Allen movie, particularly Zelig, with his remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He effortlessly converses in Yiddish with Jewish clients, switches to Portuguese with Muslim customers, and can engage with people from across the globe. His presence is akin to a stand-up comedian, bringing to mind a much more pleasant version of Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers.
Another standout feature of Brad's Grill is the service. The staff, particularly the Zimbabwean waitresses, are not only professional but also genuinely caring and attentive. They add to the overall warmth and welcoming atmosphere of the place.
When you dine at Brad's Grill, you come for the exquisite steakhouse fare but find yourself returning for the ambiance and the indelible smile that Brad and his team put on your face. It's a blend of excellent cuisine, engaging entertainment, and heartfelt hospitality that makes Brad's Grill a must-visit destination in Cape Town. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out on one of the city's finest culinary experiences. Was there again last night, amazing food and service.

Read moreWe went here as two vegans as apart of a group. Firstly there’s multiple options labeled as vegan THAT ARE NOT VEGAN! One of them has multiple forms of cheese in them And the other is the vegan labeled garden salad they comes with NOT vegan salad dressing. We brought this up with the waitress and she said the owner Brad doesn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian, she’s cool for being real like that. But they should fix it. We ordered the two vegan burgers , we questioned that it said bun-less and asked can we have a normal burger with a bun. She said it comes with the bun and doesn’t know why it says that. My guess is that the owner probably thought vegans can’t eat gluten/ bread. 🤦♀️ The burger came out and the vegan meat paddy on it was good, however the burger had absolutely no sauce! So it was dry. They didn’t even add any bbq sauce or tomato sauce - which is vegan but the owner clearly doesn’t actually know what vegan is. The vegan burger would be good if they had some vegan aloe. I hope they improve the experience for vegans and correctly label their menu.
Get vegan aloe for the burger and some vegan cheese slices and it would be great.
Lastly the owner made a seriously degrading, distasteful and not called for joke about taking the waitress home for a discount to a bunch of boys minding their own business at the table I was seated at. I feel sorry for the staff having to...

I ordered the rib eye stake. I asked specifically without any sauce. I got the stake with a kind of very salty barbecue sauce. When I said I didn't like it - I was told that that's the way every "bri" is made in south africa (thats why I asked without any sauce...) the stake was taken away and returned to me 2 minutes later
I asked the waiters what did they do to it (since there was no chance that they made new one in that time). I was told that they removed the sauce ( I dont know how thats possible) and that the stake has been grilled in olive oil. Never mind that there still was some sauce in different cracks, the grilled olive oil had a bad taste to it.
I did not eat the stake, nor I was offered a new one (they offered to wrap it to take away), i was even charged with it Where I come from - you don't pay if you didn't eat the course (especially when you asked for no sauce)
I was promised to be taken care of next time that I arrive ( i am a tourist..)
This cant be the best stake (and stake house) in south Africa, as they claim it is, not even...
