DISGUSTED!!!! Food was good... waitress and waiters were friendly, sweet and helpful..THE 5 STARS IS FOR THEM...THE OWNER ON THE OTHER HAND...or should I say one of the owners honestly does not know anything about the food industry how to manage a place customer service...money seems to be his only skill set...

MY 5 YEAR OLD SON put in 2 R2 and a R1 coin into a game machine that only takes a R5 coin. So I asked the staff since they own the machine to kindly give me a R5 coin as they would obviously get it back once they open the machines...we are talking about A R5 COIN, THE OWN "MUHAMMAD "said he could not do that because "The man who owns the building owns the play machines and he would not get back his R5"...ARE YOU SERIOUS??? WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A R5 COIN NOT A R100 NOTE....😂😂 He gives me a long story and then hands me a R5 from the till ...insisted that I take the R5 with my right hand 😂😂 really at this point I'm convinced the guys an ARROGANT PRICK!

There are tables around us reserved and which is normal...but people start walking in with their own drinks and their own food...hello Health and safety??? Goes against restaurant code, health and safety and contamination!!!!

Then we find out they made an exception because it's the guys family and friends 😂😂😂😂 Wow okay My husband's in the food industry and that's a huge fine and penality That's not all...the man has no customer service skills ..he walks around making sure everything's in order for his friend's and family but does not stop at any other table with People to check if they are okay how's the service Nada... That's not all!!!

We now go to the car park to leave and guess what??? There is a security guard in the car park.. but we find out that one of Mubammeds guests have now parked and blocked our car in ...I see Muhammad at his car and now ask him to please find out who's car it is and ask them to move...IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY SHOULDNT HAVE CARS BLOCKING IN PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF WHO IT IS!!! WE WAIT ...MY HUSBAND THEN GOES INSIDE TO CHECK MUHAMMAD HAS NOT HELPED WITH THE ISSUE... and the owner of the vehicle comes out to move the car no apology from...

Down from Cape Town for the winter school holidays with my family and decided to try Steakout. We had previously eaten there when they had opened up RJ’S a few years ago and was somewhat disappointed back then but more for a service related matter. The service now was quite decent however the food leaves much to be desired. Starters and drinks were ok. Really difficult to mess up fried haloumi cheese and cheesy garlic bread. Main course on the other hand was a disaster. The chicken burger was in a stale bun, the 1/2 chicken was undercooked which is a red flag and lacked any form of taste, the chicken breast was dry and also lacked taste and the teppenyaki was a complete disaster. The beef for both rump and fillet was cubed rather than sliced into medallions as described on the menu and tasted like goulash marinated in a dish that had fish in it. The beef was also overcooked and dry and needed a lot of tobacco sauce to make it a bit more palatable. The sides of stir fried vegetables and noodles also helped fill the void left by the beef teppenyaki. The chocolate volcano deserts were cold and hard and had to be sent back to be reheated else they wouldn’t have been edible at all. On the whole this place was well below par and does not meet the high expectations of its location and price point. Definitely my first...

I like the location of the restaurant and the fact that the signage is clearly visible. U can't miss it. food: starters were great, However, there were few chicken wings that were slightly burned, and tasted like charcoal, I had 2 peal the skin off and dip them in the saurce 2 enjoy them. Garlic roll was super delicious. I also enjoyed the creamy mushroom stack, the steak was succulent and to my liking. The mushroom source was out of this world, honestly, I would order that again. I was a bit disappointed with the ribs though. They were beef ribs and extremely tough on the outside, I didn't enjoy them at all. Some of the food was great and some, not so much. Because of the inconsistencies, I'm gonna rate the food 6/10 Service: service was great, our waitress was very present and we didn't wait long for our food. The one thing that I was unhappy about was the fact that I wasn't given an option to choose between beef or lamb ribs since they don't serve pork, they are strictly halal and I respect that but give me options, let me be the one to decide. Also I shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper, it should have been on the table or brought to the table together with food. 6/10 atmosphere : the ambience was peaceful. lots of staff, very welcoming and always ready to...

I ALWAYS highly recommend Empire as my go-to steakhouse when visiting KZN. HOWEVER On my first visit to STEAKHOUSE, I was really impressed by the steak, taste, Quality and pricing I wss also impressed by their ability to accommodate our large group of under 30 people rather late in the evening after my flight to kzn. The food, although slow to arrive due to the crowd, was understandable and excellent value for money. The portions were generous, and the kids' play area, supervised by staff, was a fantastic bonus. However, our experience was marred by POOR management. When one of our 30 meals was prepared incorrectly, the manager argued and displayed attitude instead of apologizing and rectifying the issue. To make matter worse, the owner present and witnessing this couldn't care less and just ignored the situation and probably feared not being supportive to the manager. Despite this hiccup, I would still recommend STEAKHOUSE for its outstanding food (9.5/10). Nevertheless, the management's attitude and customer service skills need significant improvement. Customers may not always be right, but when they are, it's essential to listen and resolve issues amicably.

I ordered a Ribeye on the bone at Steak Out, but what I received was clearly one side of a T-bone steak, not a ribeye. When I raised this with management and staff, they tried their best to gaslight me into believing it was a ribeye — which was very disappointing and honestly alarming. For anyone unfamiliar, a Ribeye on the bone (Tomahawk or Cowboy cut) has a distinctive round eye of marbled meat with a rib bone attached. In contrast, the steak I was served (as shown in the attached image) clearly shows the flat strip shape of a T-bone section with no rib bone or marbling typical of a ribeye. To make matters worse, the meat was incredibly tough — nothing like the tender, juicy texture a proper ribeye should have. It’s very concerning that a restaurant would substitute cheaper cuts and then attempt to cover it up instead of being honest with customers. This experience has made me question the integrity and quality control at Steak Out. When you’re paying premium prices for high-end cuts, you expect honesty and the quality that comes with it — not deception.
