해운대 어부 (Eobu Haeundae) — Restaurant in Busan

During our visit to Eobu Haeunda a popular seafood gem near the shores of Haeundae Beach in Busan, we treated ourselves to a feast that truly captured the essence of Korean coastal cuisine.

We started with the clam Broth Set for Two, a warm and sweet dish that set the tone for the meal. The broth was rich and briny, steeped with the natural sweetness of fresh clams, garlic, and green onions. As it simmered at the table, we ladled it into our bowls, savoring the deep, oceanic flavor with every sip.

Next, we dug into the Cheese Grilled Clam Set, delightful fusion of creamy and smoky. Each clam was nestled in its shell, topped with gooey, golden-brown cheese that added a luxurious touch to the tender seafood beneath. The slight char from the grill gave it a satisfying depth that we couldn’t get enough of.

To balance the seafood, we ordered Kimchi Fried Rice, which brought a bold, spicy kick. The rice was perfectly stir-fried with aged kimchi.

One of the most memorable parts of the meal was the live octopus. Served fresh and still gently moving, it was a daring delicacy. We dipped each piece in sesame oil with salt, appreciating the chewy texture and clean, briny flavor.

We wrapped up the meal with Grilled Eel, which was buttery, tender, and glazed with a sweet soy sauce. The charred edges added a smoky note that made each bite melt in our mouths.

Eobu is the best! Best grilled seafood I have ever had. I got the assorted grilled set that includes clams, scallops, abalone and more. They add cheese to some of the scallops and its so yummy. The owner is so friendly and teaches us how to grill it properly and does most of the grilling for us going from table to table. We got the medium set for two people and honestly it wasn’t enough so ordered extra scallops and albap which is the rice with fish roe, kimchi and dried seaweed. The is cooked on a plate that looks like a mussel shell and the flavour is so amazing. Just had an amazing dinner here and will definitely come here again to get fresh grilled seafood when...

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly owner who welcomed us in with a smile. Even though the place wasn’t super packed, I kid you not, the food was AMAZING. The service by the two waiters were also amazing. They were attentive and always looked after us to make sure the food was cooked properly. They even cooked it for us. The food came out super fresh and for two people it was affordable with lots of food. Prob the best seafood we had.
