면가일세 — Restaurant in Goyang-si

Definitely not recommending. We four were dining in and asked to choose 4 all in one menu. All I saw from Naver bloggers, minimum 2 people can choose either a set menu or course one. We were meant to have 2 of beef ribs sets (W33,000 each) and another 2 of A course menu(w59,000 each). Owner has advised we got to choose either 4 of beef ribs or 4 x A course otherwise, 4x A course + two additional beef ribs. He said the reason being A course takes time to serve whereas the beef ribs set all at once thus, it is their policy to serve in efficiency. I have requested to show in any notice as I haven’t been aware. He and his staff assured they will send to my email regarding the policy however, never received it. Any other middle level exquisite restaurants serve a course cuisine in minimum 2 or even for one. It makes me believe that owner wants to cover up for a staff shortage maximizing his profit at the same time. We have been ended up ordering 4 of A courses. Food has been below average. There is no menu details were mentioned either by waitress verbally or in written-digital way. Being a main dish of 5 pieces small 2-3cm wide cut steaks and rice in a pot were okay though, with some small pickles were still overall appalling. Paying per person 60,000 won should be better than the service and quality we received. Check it out the other sophisticated classic restaurant servicing in course. Definitely not recommending the place. Updated by talking to merchant at 30th June and replied at 1st July followed.

For my email to them started with an apology which their policy to limit in uniform ordering when over 4 in group is unread in Spam folder. I have objected their accusation of me hassling their staffs over authoritative voice. I replied i have spoken to the boss and Mrs. wife only. I called twice only as my hotel bill proved for just over 10 mins. I have no regret using an inappropriate rude language during requesting a public notification of their uniform ordering limit when over 4 people’s visit. I wasn’t well understood by the manager the justification of their policy thus, asked for a name however, the manager refused to give away his name so I requested further to talking to the owner politely from my level. Albeit My tone could be high in asking this, so I apologized. The manager advised he is the boss and he will not give away a name. I have expressed my position to release their recording of our conversation at 15th with my own cost as from my point being accusation is unfair. I however continued to express my regret making the owner’s couple extremely nervous during my call.

면가일세 다녀온 이후로 계속 생각나는 맛집이에요. 매장 분위기가 정말 고급스럽고 세련돼서, 식사하면서도 특별한 시간을 보내는 느낌이 들었습니다. 조명부터 인테리어, 테이블 세팅까지 하나하나 정성이 느껴졌어요.

음식도 그 분위기에 딱 어울리게 정갈하고 퀄리티가 높았습니다. 면의 식감이나 육수의 깊은 맛, 재료 하나하나가 신선해서 정말 만족스러웠어요. 플레이팅도 깔끔해서 눈으로 한 번, 입으로 한 번 더 감탄하게 됩니다.
