Was walking through black pork Street, realised there were many options and did not know which to go for. Decides to go for this since the restaurant was bustling with patrons but there wasn't a queue. Turns out we had to queue inside, was told we had to queue at least 15mins. But we queued for around 20 mins, understandable since there was some company gathering going on, there were very few tables available. The reason why I'd give them 5 stars for service, the boss offered us 2 drink for free (sprite & coke) as they felt bad for making us wait so long, he even told his Chinese speaking staff to translate to us that the waiting time is gonna be shorter and all, and to ask us to understand, which I felt was very heartwarming. Before we were even seated down, the staff already Prepped the table and the moment we sat down, the grilling started already. OH AND I FORGOT TO SAY, I LOVE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE STAFF THERE, REALLY EFFICIENT AND FAST. Now let's talk about the food there, hats down, really awesome, we went for the set for 3 pax, the one with the abalone. The cold noodles, kimchi stew and egg stew were all free and it all tasted amazing. We even ordered another cold noodles to go with the meat. There are staff who'd help u to cook the meat and all, there were loads of banchan too. The fried rice at the end was really hearty too, loved it. To end of, I'd say I really enjoyed the meal, it was my first dinner I jeju, and it was a memorable one, not only the food but also the service...
Read moreGreat experience to have where many side dishes (ie cold noodles per person, and free steamed egg and kimchi soup per table) were served to you. Food was also cooked for you too!
Taste wise, nothing to fault. — Abalones was chewy and slightly (seawater) salty (in a good way), which is different from those canned abalone u eat during CNY since the taste of the sea is stronger — had all three different cuts of the meat available, where the porky taste is slightly stronger. My friend said the smell of pork was stronger, but she still enjoyed it without going anything with the meat. For me, I had it wrapped with veg, Kimchi, garlic, so I can’t taste that strong porky smell/taste — paid 2,000 won for the steamed egg cos it was steamed perfectly, not too dry and it’s fluffy — 3,000won for rice and it tasted not bad — all side dishes were delicious
Couldn’t finish everything as we were so full. Would recommend the 60,000 won set for 3 people since free cold noodles is served for...
Read moreWe were walking along Black Pork Street trying to decide which restaurant to dine in. A young man came out of this restaurant and spoke to us in English. He was nice and welcoming and so we decided to have our dinner here. The place was still empty as it was still early. We ordered the abalone and pork set with 3 types of pork cuts. The food was grilled at our table. But I wish that they had charcoal grill. We were also served cold noodles as part of the set and we enjoyed that. Service was good and we saw many Chinese tourists and the staff here can speak...
