산지물식당 — Restaurant in Jeju

Mindblowing stuff. The momguk 몸국 was definitely the highlight of the meal. Broth was thick and the beef was boiled down til it was melting in our mouths. The seaweed you can apparently only get in Jeju, and the combination of the flavours was just out of this world.

Besides that, we also tried the sushi, which was okay. I prefer the fish to have a bit more flavour. Similarly, the fried fish was also quite bland, although the batter was nice and it went nicely with the chili sauce.

Other than that, the servers could write down the orders rather than trying to memorise it, as it was pretty unreliable. The same person came to confirm my order twice, and another person had to come...

We visited this restaurant based on a good review from a korean blog. But it's very overrated. The food is mediocre at best. Quality of fish was actually pretty bad considering the fact that the restaurant is very close to the seaside. The worst part about this restaurant is that the customer service is awful. This is the first seafood restaurant where the employees never explained what the dishes are. They drop the food at your desk and just leave, which was very unpleasant considering the food here is relatively expensive.
