Found this place on Kakao maps when trying to find a breakfast place to eat. It didn't pop-up in Google, don't know why.
When I went in, I realized things weren't going to get more local than this. The whole restaurants were full of locals that seems like they've been eating here for years. We arrived just a little early and was lucky to get a table, but after that the lines were getting longer and longer outside the shop.
The menu was very simple, either the soup with beef, or with offals/entrails, those were like the only things on the menu (they don't even have a menu, just a sign for 10000 won or 11000 won option). The soup comes already seasoned and spicy. It is a really perfect meal for a cold and rainy day.

Read morethey only serve 2 items here: haejangguk (blood cake hangover soup) and naejangtang (beef tripe & intestines soup). both are spicy. i had naejangtang and it was the best version i’ve had so far in korea. better than places i’ve been to in seoul or busan. the tripe was cooked til tender, no smells, the broth perfectly flavorful and with just the right amount of spicyness. banchan is good. must eat here if you’re in jeju. there’s always a wait but...
