We come in 5 people, initially we dont understand that the restaurant only has 4 sets of menus, but each set will require at least 2 people to order. We order 2 best sets , and they come in a total of 44 different small plates, excluding rice. All of us got food coma after, but because they are all so good so we went beyond our full potential to try all of them. The price would be so cheap compared to where we came from and even to local restaurants. We came here to experience Korean food culture, and we surely got what we were looking for. I would give the service 5 stars if they have an english speaking staff, but I know that is a lot to ask when come to a suburban city. They do use google translate to explain the menu condition for me, which is nice. Overall, very highly recommended and you must come with at least 2 people or they won't let you in as this is the restaurant condition. But once you see the plates after order, it makes a...
Read moreThere are a few places in Hanok village that basically rip tourists off and this is one of them. They advertise that you get japchae, jeon, salad, 간장게장 and a few other heavier banchan items but when you order their main table set they gave us one jaeyukbokgeum and one fish. The rest were small veggie sides which don't measure up as high quality substitutes. On top of that a few of those sides are the stuff people dont typically touch unless it's a favorite. Imagine ordering steak, mashed potatoes, cream spinach, macaroni and cheese, lasagna and they give you steak, fries, house salad, carrot sticks and celery sticks but they charge you the same... Their cheap menu might be worth it but these guys basically give you what any typical restaurant will give you with one entree order. You just have to pay 4 times more. Seriously annoyed. Finally food was salty. Not the typical authentic korean food style but the kind you get in...
Read moreThis is a restaurant located near the traditional hanok village where you can enjoy han jung sik which is where you order a main dish accompanied by a ton of side dishes.
The mains were quite delicious. We got the tteok galbi (soft rib meat) and soybean stew. We were given enough sides to fill up the entire table. There was also a lot of variety with the sides including pickled vegetables, lotus roots and other vegetables in dressing, raw marinated crabs just to name a few.
I went with my Korean friends and they seemed to enjoy it. I personally really loved it.
Also note, you should order 1 main per person. You can also refill...
