Did not know exactly what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by all the food we ordered. The food came out as it was ready and came out nice and hot which I appreciated. Would recommend to try this place out if looking for a good fusion place of Korean and Italian food! If you can’t handle spice at all would caution that a majority of the food has some kind of slight or more spiciness to it so not the most kid friendly as well. Didn’t take pictures while the food came out but took a pic of how we ate everything so well.
Started out with some free bread which had a nice char on it. Things we ordered: fries: came out hot, the sauce it came with was sweeter than my preference but fries were still good bc it came out hot and had a nice crispy crunch perilla leaves caprese: really enjoyed this salad and again thought it was a great fusion salad. cheongyang vongole cream pasta: really good fusion pasta and enjoyed the flavor. It was spicy and just really good flavor that mixed well together. The pasta itself was a bit overcooked but since the flavor and sauce were good it was still good charcoal bulgogi wrap pizza: interesting take and didn’t know what a wrap pizza was but it was essentially little wraps. It was nice and refreshing bc of all the lettuce on top. There was a slight spice in this as well which I enjoyed but not kid friendly. cuttlefish paella: good fusion again. Enjoyed the crispy rice and the flavors. The cuttlefish and shrimp were more cooked than the picture on the menu but it was nice and charred so I enjoyed it. braised short rib butter pasta: got this without the pepper to not have it be spicy for kids and it wasn’t spicy at all without the pepper. I think if we didn’t have kids it would have been nice to try with the spice since it would probably cut some of the butter...
Read moreI tried the trending Charcoal-Grilled Beef Tripe Pasta at Italian Guksi in Hannam, and it was such a pleasant surprise. At first, I wasn’t sure how beef tripe would pair with pasta, but one bite completely changed my mind.
The smoky flavor from the charcoal-grilled tripe was rich and savory, with a chewy texture that went perfectly with the creamy pasta sauce. It wasn’t heavy at all, and I just kept wanting another bite. The pasta itself was cooked al dente, adding the perfect texture balance.
The portion was generous, leaving me full and satisfied. Plus, the unique combination made it feel like the perfect choice for a special meal. 👉 If you’re in Hannam and want something different from the usual pasta, I highly recommend the Charcoal-Grilled Beef...
Read moreThe waiters were all so patient and one of them knew English and helped lots! I looked at some of the one star reviews and 1) my family has 2 daughters 15 and 13, and it was on a Monday and we were allowed in. 2) service was amazing, they tried hard to communicate.
We ordered grilled scallop with crab cream sauce pasta and a Korean beef tripe stone pot pasta. I love the interesting mix of Italian and Korean, this restaurant is really unique and the interior is very nice and cozy. Its design is ergonomic too, with a coat rack and a place for your bags. Large range of menu options too.
Overall, great place, totally recommend if you like Italian but wanna try your hand at Korean...
