주은감자탕 — Restaurant in Seoul

Do not go to this restaurant!!! They were so rude and mean towards us. We went there as a group of 3 and got told that we were being very loud(even though we weren’t, the table next to us assured us that we weren’t).

When asked about why they specifically singled out our table, they said that they didn’t do it because they were racist or discriminating against foreigners but that we were just loud (even though there were many other drunk patrons who were louder).

Read some of the reviews on Naver in Korean after we left the restaurant and we saw that the table next to us commented on our incident. They mentioned that the waitresses were complaining about us after we left, saying that we act exactly like how we look like (like 3 girls???)

Anyways after our Korean friend read more of the reviews, there were other people who left reviews of the same thing happening to them. So props to them I guess? They (probably) weren’t (just) being racist but they just hate everyone they hate🥰

Meh. This place is sub-par compared to other 감자탕/해장국 restaurants on the street. The only reason this place is popular is because it was on TV. In reality, the soup has no flavor and the bones have no meat. And so it's overpriced. Because the restaurant is crowded with TV viewers, the staff service is inattentive and unhelpful. I heard this restaurant is famous but why the service is horrible??? Very Disappointed and Upset with everything we received. The service was terrible. My husband and I visited from Canada. Especially my husband is uncomfortable to sit on the floor. there are table on the second floor but they said they had to take a rest so we couldn't sit at a table. How can they not care about customers? They ignored us when we asked them to get radish kimchi. There is not enough radish leaves inside the dish. I would NOT recommend this restaurant, and we will not be going back.

정말 이렇게 서비스가 최악인곳은 없는것같네요. 제남편은 캐나다인이고 좌식테이블이 너무 불편해서 2층테이블에 앉을수없냐고 하니까 직원들 휴식해야하기때문에 거절하더군요. 2층은 close라고..하.... 손님에 대한 배려는 전혀 찾아볼수가 없는곳이었어요. 그리고 감자탕에 시레기가 맛있어서 간곳인데, 4~5인 라지사이즈에 시레기는 1인분밖에 안되더라구여. 사진을 못찍은게 안타깝네요. 웨이트리스들은 어찌나 불친절하던지.. 깍두기를 구걸하면서 먹었네요. 정말 나라망신시키지 마세요. 외국에서 살면서 한국사람으로써 당당하고 자부심이 많았는데 그날 얼마나 챙피했었는지.. 당신네같은 사람들때문에 비난받아요. 다름에 대한...
