칠백식당 — Restaurant in Seoul

Much better options available.

We visited at 8pm in the mid-week. There was no one else there. So there was no atmosphere and the staff contributed to a sad feeling.

They serve about 150g of mixed cuts (mostly lower quality) for about $45. That’s not great value.

The sides were fine. But not great.

We purchased a bean and beef soup that was pretty good.

At the end of the meal the chef came over to try and intimidate us into ordering another plate of meat and when we said no they immediately took away the grill and presented the bill.

I can see why they were empty when all the other bbq places around were doing a good...

This is one of the few restaurants we make sure to come back to every time we visit Seoul (there are so many good places!) - but this place is truly special. The meat is extremely high quality, along with the barbecue equipment itself. The owner takes pride in what he does and it shines through the food. Know that you cook the meat yourself to cook only a few pieces at a time to...
