I am 22 and did a solo trip to Seoul and this was a great place to stay. Very cheap and it’s such a cozy place. I payed $70 CAD for 4 nights which would be like less than 1 night somewhere in Canada. So I’d say pretty worth it. I stayed in the women’s dorm with 2 bunk beds and everyone was very respectful. There’s privacy curtains so it feels like you have your own place. The house has everything you need and it’s in such a great location with a night market right by and lots of places to eat. House was a little messy but that’s because there are lots of women with their luggage so not a big deal. Everything was contactless checkin I just texted the boss when I got there and told him what bed I chose which was nice and convenient. I saw some negative reviews before coming but I’m assuming those people just had higher expectations. I don’t mind a little mess and everything not being perfect. This isn’t a fancy hotel so if your just looking for a nice place to crash while you explore it’s great. Overall would definitely recommend, and will be staying here again if I’m...
Read moreFirst off the good:||The place is cheap and located in the center of Hongdae. That's about it.||||Now the bad stuff:||The place is not very clean. Showers are moldy and my (fresh) bedsheets were covered with hair. There are also lots of mosquitos, I got 5 bites in just one night.||||Now THE WORST:||The day I came I accidentally chose the wrong entrance and ended up in a different room (supposed to be for other guests). I didn't know that then, so I took a quick shower and waited for a reply from the owner. I ended up finding the right dormitory. The next day the owner texts me and tells me to pay 10.000 Won for the cleaning service of the bathroom I've used (that's almost the price for a night in a dormitory but ok). He supposedly checked CCTV footage to "prove" that I used the room. He then told me to leave and find another hostel. An English-speaking manager was also extremely rude and offensive to me. ||||Please save up money and book a...
Read moreGreat location, good sound proof, providing good quality towels and amenities, free laundry and drier, relatively comfortable bed and pillow, clean toilet and good ventilation (some guesthouses in Seoul smell quite moldy) comparing to other guest houses in Seoul and a friendly white cat. I may stay here again when I come back to Korea and decide to stay in Hongdae.
I know that all guest houses are small, but the room we were staying at was too small to open two luggage bags, so me and my hubby had to jump over our bags each time.
They have 3 different buildings. It would great if they clearly mark their building numbers and include it on the booking confirmation sheet. It can be confusing when the check-in video is shared with guests only 30 minutes before our arrival (usually travelers are busy navigating around), so sending the instruction at least a day before...
