BBQ Chicken & Beer — Restaurant in Seoul

I had a very unpleasant and disappointing experience at this store on March 28th between 10:00 PM and 10:55 PM. I ordered a fried chicken and cheese ball set, which cost 32,000 KRW. When I asked to pay by card, the lady at the counter told me that card payment was not possible. I explained that I only had 30,000 KRW in cash and asked again to pay by card.

She took my 30,000 KRW in cash and then took my card anyway — without clearly explaining anything. After swiping the card, she gave me a receipt showing 2,000 KRW for fried chicken. I assumed that was the amount charged to my card and didn’t question it at the time.

I want to say, the lady at the counter was actually very gentle and kind, and her service attitude was good — but despite that, I ended up being charged far more than I should have. After I returned to my country and checked my credit card statement, I was shocked to find I had been charged 20,000 KRW on my card.

That means I paid 30,000 KRW in cash + 20,000 KRW by card = 50,000 KRW for a 32,000 KRW meal.

This felt dishonest and extremely unprofessional, even if it might have been a mistake. The lack of communication and the misleading receipt made me feel confused and cheated. I hope the store looks into this and takes responsibility. I advise other customers to double-check their payment...

I would ask people to please not visit this resteraunt. Went to it as we had only just landed in Korea and wanted something easy. Firstly one waiter was quite rude and was rushing us while making our order. I asked for water and she just pointed at where I can fill up a cup for myself. Food came out, waitress just dropped them erroneously on the wrong places but just walked off after. While we were eating the waiting staff had no interest to seeing to any customers. We're mostly on their phones all of them. Had very poor energy, did not ask us how the food was or would we like another drink etc.

We got two pizzas as I said we were looking for something easy. Clearly cooked from frozen and even so way too tasteless and not enjoyable at all.

Lastly, when we went to pay the bill the man had something else on his mind and was almost cross looking at us for wanting to pay. Got frustrated as I was unsure where to sign and he scribbled in for me. Very rude altogether.

I don't really like to write bad reviews but I felt compelled to as they were spamming customers to get a free drink to write good reviews for them.

This could be because my partner and I are western.
