A flawless Korean BBQ experience — unforgettable from start to finish.

I recently dined at Byeokje Galbi the Cheongdam, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier — the staff were warm, attentive, and thoroughly professional. We were seated in a private room, which provided both comfort and a sense of exclusivity, making the whole experience feel even more special.

The absolute highlight of the meal was the kkot-ppyeo saeng-galbi (꽃뼈생갈비). The meat was unbelievably tender, rich in flavor, and practically melted in our mouths. It was one of the best cuts of beef I’ve ever had. But what made it even more memorable was the tableside performance — a staff member came in with a gleaming knife and effortlessly sliced the ribs right in front of us. The precision and showmanship added a theatrical touch that elevated the entire experience.

Alongside the main dish, the banchan (side dishes) were varied, fresh, and perfectly balanced the richness of the meat. Each element felt carefully curated to complement the star of the show. The pacing of the meal was excellent as well — we never felt rushed, and the staff checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without interrupting the flow.

The atmosphere of the restaurant blends modern elegance with traditional Korean charm, making it ideal for both casual luxury and special occasions. Everything from the interior design to the plating of the food spoke of attention to detail.

Byeokje Galbi the Cheongdam is not just a meal — it’s an experience. If you’re looking for premium Korean BBQ with exceptional service and unforgettable flavors, this is the place. I’ll...

I came here to try Korean Hanwoo beef for the first time, and it was an incredible, immersive dining experience. We had a dedicated server who was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and the history behind every dish. The head chef expertly cut the Hanwoo beef in front of us, showcasing impressive knife skills.

The Hanwoo beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, with a rich taste that stood out. Its texture was perfectly soft yet firm, melting in your mouth with every bite. Compared to Wagyu, Hanwoo is less fatty, offering a balanced flavor that highlights the natural beefiness without being too rich. The subtle marbling made the meat juicy and delicious, with a clean, pure taste that was really satisfying.

This was a great way to experience Hanwoo beef for the first time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you’re looking to try something new and delicious, I highly recommend...

We went for lunch and for a place that’s supposed to be a high end restaurant the service and food did not seem high end. The servers were nice enough but they seemed rushed and it felt like a factory. Meat was good but not that special. The cold noodles were not good. We got the most expensive lunch option which is a set menu with multiple courses. The meat was fine but some pieces were really chewy almost tough. Maybe we don’t get a nice cut. The restaurant has a reputation for being really high end but I’ve dined at Michelin starred restaurants around the world and this is not it. The side dishes and den jang chigae were okay, the local restaurants near my AirBnB have better for way cheaper. They did offer plenty of food though so portion...

Monday has no Byeokje Tasting Course, thus had the a-la-carte. Seated in a private room with their beautiful handmade Munaze ceramics laid out. We ordered their Signature Cuts of Hanwoo Seolhwa Hanwoo Bone Rib aka Kkotppyeo Saeng-Galbi. An artisan butcher came in with the bone rib and deftly carving out the 1++ meat, followed by a demonstration of the diamond-cutting technique. Next, a grill master proceeded to cook the meat over charcoal fire. Exceptional meat indeed, good balance of fat, flavour and bite too. Their Jeju seafood platter lacked lustre. Doenjang hanwoo stew and naengmyeon were decent. Service was cordial and brisk. Ambience was alright, just a bit stuffy when the door was closed. Still the best dining among the Byeokje branches.
