Cafe Comma, — Restaurant in Seoul

Stumped upon this charming bakery during our afternoon stroll near our hotel, and I am so glad we did! It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon with only a couple of customers ahead of us. I wasn't sure what to order until I spotted their special - Mille-feuille displayed right at the register. I can never pass upon this dessert, and this one looked unlike any I've seen before, which made it eve more tempting.

It turned out to be the BEST Mille-feuille I've ever had! The portion was much larger than expected, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. A must-try if you are in the area. I will definitely be coming back for more during the rest of my stay.

My only complaint is the staff. They weren't very friendly, and honestly came off a bit rude and unwelcoming. I understand there may be a language barrier, but a smile or a little warmth goes a long way, especially for visitors.

Still, their Mille-feuille alone makes this place...

The location is in the Yeonnamdong area near Yeontral Park, with the metro exit at Hongik Univ exit 3. Walk about 10 meters the outlet is on the left.

A two-story white building with a fairly large signage. From the outside it looks cozy, the area is indoor and outdoor, the seating capacity is quite small but there are enough seats.

My orders: Paris Brest The thick Hazelnut Cream is just right and very nutty. Pastry is crispy n crunchy.

Butter Scotch Cream Latte There is a little hint of sweetness, the coffee is light & fragrant

Merveille Their signature menu from their outlet in Paris. Layered with a thin chocolate filled meringue covered with hazelnut cream, sweet and slightly savory.

Service is helpful and friendly. Refillable water is also provided. Don't forget to return the tray to the specified place...

One of the few places where I had really thick foam on my latte. We all ordered hot coffee (latte, vanilla latte and dolce latte) and we were surprised with the foam thickness. The coffee was strong and the ratio with the milk/foam was just right. The chocolate tart and burnt cheesecake were "neh".

It was a bit hard to find empty table because this is in Hongdae but luckily we did and we stayed for over an hour. The wash room here was...
